chapter 5

The 4 of us stayed there for about 2 hours and she still wasn't awake
- "We're going home if you want a ride? "Mer said to me
-I'll wait for her to wake up but I'll call you if there's any news.
They left and two seconds later Teddy entered the room "Hey" she said to me
"Hey" I replied without even looking at her
-I'm coming to get you it's already 1am we have to go home" she said
-I'm not going anywhere I'm staying with her, I promised that when she wakes up I'll be there, I can't leave her, she'll need me".
- "Did we go back in time ? "she said
- "what are you talking about "I said to her
- "seriously you don't see the problem you've been staying here with her since she got here instead of staying with me I'm your fiancé shit not her" she said starting to get angry
"You're kidding, you're going to give me the same jealousy attack you did this afternoon" I said
-"I'm not kidding, I'm serious, you should be worried about me and not about another woman, you send her messages, you talk to her and I know you still love her" she said
- "of course I worry about her she was my wife for 6 years we even have a son together so yes I care about her and I won't give her up for you" I fight back
"Oh you've got a son right that's what you say, that's what you call a mother, she's never there for him, I am "she said
-"shut up! she was for over a year before you tried to take her place, and if she didn't adopt Leo it's my fault not hers "I said
-"Leo is my son not hers" she said with a dark look
- "so tell me why he keeps calling her MAMA! "I shouted at her
-"what" she asked confused
"His first word was Mama and it was for Amelia and even after we split up and I moved in with you he kept calling her Mama! If he keeps calling you Ted even when you tell him to call you Mama there is a reason! "
"Wow, I really wonder what you see in Shepherd? You think she'd make a better mother than me, a former drug addict for example" she said
"Get out of here I don't even want to see you anymore" I said and she left the room
I sat down next to Amelia and started thinking about how I thought it would work with Teddy! She is selfish and mean. I can't believe I made the mistake of proposing to her again

TEDDY POV
I left the room in a rage and went to the attending lounge And there was Alex and without really knowing why I told him :
"your friend is a bitch".
"Be more specific Altman I have many friends" he replied
" Owen !! I think he is still into amelia " I Said back
"Oh you finally got your sight back because you've been blind for one and a half years".
- "You noticed it too "I asked
" Yep I think everyone has noticed " he said
" It's nice to know that I have someone on my team " I said and he laughed
" I didn't say I was on your team, I'm on theirs "
"You're kidding, Karev, right? "
"I like you Altman really I do but Amelia is my friend,one of my closest friends and I have seen her relationship with Owen evolve. I watched them suck face for years they have disgusted me for a long long time,he is into her and she is into him. That's something you can never change. Maybe at some point their relationship was messy and toxic but what couple hasn't been even Meredith and Derek who have been the most iconic couple in the entire hospital have been toxic. Believe it or not, Owen and Amelia love each other and the only people who don't know that Amelia loves Owen are Amelia and Owen.
So you have two options here Altman either you break up with Hunt you work it out for Allison's custody and you can stay friends if you want to or not .
The second option is that you stay with him you play blind for the rest of your life and cross your fingers and pray to god that one day he will stop loving Amelia and start to love you !
I'm not saying this to be mean I just want to make you aware of things "he said
After that he looked at me and left the room I sat on the couch and I started thinking even though deep down I know he's right

OWEN POV
It had been more than four hours since Amelia came out of surgery and she still wasn't awake so I decided to close my eyes to get some rest when suddenly I felt her shake my hand I looked up she was awake and looking at me
"Hey" I said softly
"Hey" she said in a small voice "you kept your promise I see"
"Almost like always" I smile at her "I know this is a dumb question but are you ok?" I asked her.
"I'll be fine" she replied
"Do you need anything or anyone?  "I asked her
"Can you please lie down with me?" She asked. I must admit that I did not expect this answer but I was happy that she said these words.
"Of course, come here" I said as I took her in my arms. God, it felt so good to have her in my arms again!

AMELIA POV
God it feels good to be in his arms again, he reassures me and thanks to him I was able to survive today I was falling asleep when suddenly a thought came to me
"I want to change his name" I said in a low voice.
"Who are you talking about, Amelia are you okay ? "
"Yes I am, it's just about Scout, Link chose the name and I liked it but I let him choose and now Scout doesn't have a father and it's better than having an abusive father. But I don't think I'll be able to call my son by the name his genitor gave him, who also beat me almost to death, Every time I will call my son I will think about Link and what he did to me,so I want to change it, he's only 6 months old, it won't change anything for him! "
"I understand you ! what you want to call him ? "he asked
"I don't know, can you help me" I asked shyly because I didn't know if it was too much
"Yes we can look on the internet if you want!" he replied
"Let's do it" I said 
I looked at him and asked "what do you think of Brian?
"If you want me to be 100% honest I don't like it" he replied and I laughed
"Here you go! I miss this laugh" he said to me
I blushed and looked back at the screen
"What do you think of Luca" he asked
"I like it but it's the name of Violet's son so nop" I said
"Fair enough"

"What about Liam?" I asked.
"I love it, I think it would look good on him" he said
"So we found it! Liam it is" I said happily
"Yeah and now you should get some rest you've had a hard day" he said
"Yeah you are right !" I said
"So I'll let you rest" he said as he started to get out of bed
"STAY WITH ME ! " I yelled "Please I can't sleep without you and you make me feel better" I said with tears in my eyes
"Calm down Mia, I am here and I am not going anywhere" he said and wrapped is arm around me
I snuggled up to him and closed my eyes...
He called me by my nickname that he had given to me at the beginning of our relationship it felt so good to hear that word again!
