chapter 29

AMELIAS POV
December 20th
"Hey," I said as I walked into the attending lounge where most of my friends were
"So we're okay with having Christmas at my house this year?" Meredith asked.
"No, we're not here this year" Jackson said
"We're spending Christmas at my parents' house" April said
"We're not going to be here either we are in LA" I said
"And we're going to New York" Arizona said
"and we're going to my dad's" Maggie said
"And we're going to Disney" Alex said
"So does that mean we can't celebrate Christmas together?" Mer asked, "No, that's not possible. We've been spending Christmas together for years"
"I have an idea...we have to do Christmas today!" Arizona said, "It's only 5pm, we can do it! April you'll cook,Meredith, Maggie and Callie you'll do the declaration, Alex,Owen,Jackson  you'll get a tree and Amelia, Jo and I will do the presents" she said "express Christmas !"
"That's weird but ok " everyone said

"Do you think Zola will like this teeshirt ?" jo asked
" I don't know " Arizona said
"Ok I think we have everything... we have Maggie's shoes, Jo's dress, my necklace, your red dress Ari...toys for the kids perfume for meredith. The bracelet for April, Alex's watch and Jackson's shirt" I said.
"And Owen?" Arizona asked.
"I already bought his present, but he can't have it tonight..." I said.
"Oh, I'll buy him some things...he can't have anything tonight" Arizona said
"Ok now let's go or we will be late " jo said

We were now all at the foot of the tree
"It's weird" Alex said "doing Christmas like this".
"There's no snow" I said
"I always dreamed of seeing snow on Christmas but there never was any" Maggie said
"It's global warming auntie" Liam said and we laughed
"Where's Dada ?" Olivia asked
"I don't know lulu" I said
"Guys come with me" Owen said as he walked into the living room and picked Olivia up
"Ok" we said and followed him into the backyard where there was fake snow everywhere!
"Daddy Thank you!!!" my kids yelled.
"Thank you Uncle Owen" the other kids said and I walked up to Owen and he hugged me on the side
"This is a perfect surprise !!" I said
"Merry Christmas babe" he said and kissed my temple
"Merry Christmas!" I said and we watched our kids play in the snow
After that we shared a meal together and opened our gifts
"I love you guys" Meredith said
"I love each and every one of you" she added
"I love you guys too" everyone said and we hugged
"And now we dance!" Zola said
"You are your mother's daughter" I said
"Come on auntie amy!" Ellis said and dragged everyone to the dance floor and Zola put on the music "all I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Carey" and we all danced the kids and even the boys...
It was a wonderful evening...

"Good morning baby girls" Owen said to the twins
« Is it LA day ? » Ava asked
« Yes baby » I answered
« Auntie Addie !!! » Olivia yelled
« It's 5 am lulu » Owen said and chuckled
« Ok come on girls let's go get dressed » I said « can you take care of the boys ?» I asked Owen
« Of course babe » he said and kissed me quickly
We all got ready and left for the airport

« I have a little surprise for you once we are there » I said to Owen
« oh what it is ? » he asked
« Oh you will have to wait mister » I said and chuckled

Now we were all eating at Alison's house and we had met up with everyone and we were all happy, it was always so nice to be back in LA with everyone, it was my family and I love being with them

"Are you excited that Santa is coming tomorrow?" Cooper asked the kids.
"Santa has already been to our house" Liam said and giggled
"Oh and why ? " Addie asked
"We did the Christmas express" Leo said "it was auntie Arizona's idea and super cool "
"I got a new doll" Ava said
"me too ! " Lulu said
" and I got a new soccer jacket and many toys" Liam said
"What's a Noel Express? A Seattle specialty?" charlotte asked
"No, it's just that since we couldn't all spend December 24 together, we did December 24 early on the 20th " Owen said
"Ohh that's cute" Violet said
" So twice as many presents for those little kids, and Santa is going to be broke this year huh " Jake said and laughed
"Santa is in trouble" I said and laughed

December 25th
Last night we spent Christmas Eve all together and the kids got presents again and so did we but I didn't give Owen his present yet and it was about to happen

"Good morning and Merry Christmas babe" I said and kissed Owen
"Merry Christmas Honey" he said and kissed me "I love you"
"I love you too" I said and kissed him again we start making out and just when something was about to happen 4of our kids came into the room
"Arggr" I said, annoyed at being interrupted.
"We'll finish this later..." Owen whispered in my ear.
"Mom! Auntie Charlotte wants to know if we can go to her house?" Leo asked
"Charlotte!" I called her and she went upstairs.
"Yeah?" she said as she walked into the room with Riley in her arms
"you want to take my kids for the day?" I asked
"Yes, I would love to! Cooper Mason and the Triplets and I have plans to go to the park so we can take them and we'll be back for the traditional Christmas lunch" she said
"Thank you! I love you because I really need some time alone with my husband" I whispered in her ear and she laughed
"I understand you...Addison is coming with us too so have fun but not too much fun" she said
"Oh shut up" I said
"Ok kids say goodbye to your parents" she said
"Have a good day...we love you" Owen said
"Have fun we love you so so much " I said and kissed every single one of their little cheeks
"We love you" they said hugged us and left with Char and I looked at Owen
"Get dressed!" I said
"What? You don't want to continue what we started" he said
" No later...now I have a surprise for you" I said
"Oh okay" he said

"Should I call a cab or not?" he asked.
"No, we'll walk...follow me" I took him by the hand and led him to the beach
"I don't understand" Owen said confused
"Turn your head" I said
"I see a house, and I still don't understand" he said
"This is our house" I said and smiled big
"What? You bought us a house?" he asked
"Mhhh I always dreamed of having a house by the sea...so when Addison told me his neighbor was moving I jumped at the chance and bought it" I said "The kids love the beach and they'll be able to grow up by the water near their aunts, uncles and cousins so sure we won't be moving here but we'll be able to come every vacation" I said and Owen picked me up and spun me around
"You're totally crazy but I love you" he said and I laughed "I love the idea amelia we're going to have a great time here!"
"Yes I'm sure we will! Come see the inside" I said and dragged him inside.
"Wow it's beautiful" he said
"5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a huge living room with the ocean view" I said
"You're rich huh" he said and laughed "I love you babe and you're the queen of surprises the kids will be thrilled".
"You're the king of surprises...don't forget you gave me a surprise wedding" I said
"I admit that I am pretty great " he said
"oh shut up" I said and kissed him
"Now we have to go shopping to decorate this house right?" I asked
"Well you are the shopping queen, but let's go" he said and we left

After a whole day decorating our house without forgetting the traditional Christmas lunch at addie we had finally finished decorating the new house and we could finally show it to the kids
"Where are we mommy ?" Liam asked
"This is our house, we can come here every vacation to enjoy the beach together " I said
"This is our vacation home, we can have a great time here and we can make many memories here too " Owen said
"Yayyyy" the kids screamed and Riley laughed in Owen's arms
"Are you happy too bubba?" I asked and she smiled
"Oh yes you are! You are the cutest" I said and kissed her little nose
"Mama! It's so beautiful" Olivia said
"You are right sweetheart" I said and snuggled up to Owen
"I love you" I said and looked at him
"I love you too" he said and kissed my forehead and we stood there watching 4 of our 5 children play in our new home I was so happy and lucky
