Dinah's pov

The last victim's name was Margot Robbie. She was from Australia too. Luckily for us she was a social butterfly. She was last seen by her roommate. She said that she had a date with a man named Shamone Towel. He ended up being a catfish which was not surprising. He is also missing. Fortunately for us, her roommate took a picture of him. I'm waiting for the manufacturer of the pajamas to get back with me.

It had been fifteen minutes. I scrolled through the wedding dress catalog. Lauren had basically been planning my part of the wedding. It wasn't like I didn't want to marry Ally. I do. Trust me. I just didn't want it to be for show. I was going to go see what she is up to. I sent her a text that I was coming down. Lauren disappeared about thirty minutes ago. I walked past Tori's office only to catch a glimpse of the familiar raven haired girl on Tori's couch. I turned around and stood in the doorway with my arms folded.

They were deep into discussions about how the wedding cake should be designed. By the looks of it, Tori had been planning Ally's part. Which made a lot of sense now. I would ask her something about the wedding and she would always read something on her phone before answering. I smiled because they were taking this way too seriously. I jumped when I felt someone tap my shoulder from behind. I saw a guilty Ally standing behind me.

"Cat's out the bag. Huh?" Ally smirked.

I looked back at the two ladies who were now agreeing that the flavor should be vanilla. "Yeah, so neither one of us is planning this thing. Our parents would be so mad at us." I laughed.

"Absolutely, especially since I'm paying Tori." She laughed.

"Oh. I feel bad now because Lo is doing this free of charge. Maybe I should give her a little something." I thought about it.

Ally popped my arm. "Dinah Jane Hansen. Pay your best friend."

"Shh keep it down, I want her to think that it was my idea." I whispered.

"But It wasn't. It was mine, and I am going to tell her." Suddenly she walked past me, going further into the room. "Hey Lauren, Dinah said tha-" I quickly covered her mouth. She tried to escape my grip, so I picked her up off the ground and held her closer to my body. My arm wrapped around her stomach keeping her in place. She stopped fighting. I could feel and see her giggling.

Lauren looked at me amused. I gulped. "I was just going to say that I'm grateful for you. You didn't have to do this for me and yet you took time out of your very busy schedule to help me. You are the greatest friend I've ever had. I love you. And also I'm going to pay you for this."

Both Tori and Lauren were trying to keep a straight face. They lost the battle when they made eye contact with each other. Which sent them into a hysterical fit of laughter. "Yeah. Okay. I love you too" Lauren got out.

Ally looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. She then pointed to her mouth where my hand was. I quickly removed my hand "Oh right sorry."

"Tori, I'm docking your pay for laughing." Ally said, folding her arms. She looked so cute.

This only made Tori laugh harder. "I would like to see you try. Lord Farquaad."

I giggled at that one and Ally shot me a glare, and I stopped. "Your mama! Dinah take me out of here." She demanded.

I looked at her confused then I realized that I was still holding Ally. "Oh yeah." I made our grand exit. I turned around again "And fuck both of yall for laughing at my future wife."

I heard a "yeah, you tell them" from Ally which egged me on.

"And fuck you Lauren for disappearing on me." I said while backing up. "And we want a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting!" I yelled dramatically before slamming the door closed.

"Yeah!" Ally yelled. Through the closed door. She maneuvered around so that I was holding her bridal style. Her arms wrapped around me. She kissed my cheek before laying her head in the crook of my neck. Her black crocs slightly bounced with each step.

I walked us a few feet down the hall into Ally's office, trying to ignore my erratic heartbeat. I tried to set her down, but she shook her head and held me tighter.

I sat us down in her office chair. There was a comfortable silence between us as she fiddled with my ring. I ran my fingers through her hair. I could get used to this. "Dinah are we making the right choice by getting married?" She asked.

I was taken back by her question. I sat there frozen. I had to choose my words carefully, I didn't want her to feel obligated to do this because of me. If she wanted to rebel against our parents I would do it. Even if it shattered my heart into a million little pieces. "Do you think we are making the wrong decision? If this isn't what you want, we don't have to do this."

"I don't know Dinah. What if I say or do something that messes this up? What if we regret this in five months and we end up hating each other?" I shifted her around so that she was straddling me.

"Ally, I could never hate you. We are both trying to figure this out together. If anyone is going to say something, it will probably be me. I tend to be reserved and bottle my emotions because I am scared of what others may think of me. Neither one of us is perfect. So if you really don't want this, then I will raise hell with you." I knew my eyes were filling up with tears but I refused to let them fall.

"There are moments when I think I want this but then I don't know. I've never gotten a chance to have a real relationship because at the end of the day, I always knew that I was going to be with you. I don't know what it's like to be in love or emotionally attached to someone. I'm scared." She finally looked at me.

"It feels like this." I don't know what got into me, but I stood up and sat her on the desk. She went to question what I was doing, but I didn't give her a chance. I crashed our lips together. I poured everything that I couldn't say into this passionate kiss. She kissed me just as passionately as her hands made their way around my neck. She spread her legs apart, so I could get a better angle. Her hand pulled my hair, and I gasped. She took this as an opportunity to slip her tongue into my mouth. I moved my hands down her back, but before they could make it to her ass. She pulled them off of her. She broke the kiss and pushed me with just enough force that I stumbled backwards and ended up sitting in the chair.

We were both breathless. Suddenly, I was very aware of what I had just done. I was worried that I took it too far by kissing her. Fuck, what is wrong with me? I attempted to stand up but her bare foot pressed against my chest pinning me down. Wait. Didn't she have shoes on? I looked at her other foot and I guess I must have knocked her crocs off.

She removed her foot to jump off her desk to climb on top of me. "Detective Hansen, we should have done this a long time ago." She kissed me slowly which was driving me crazy. Her hand found a way into my hair, and I gripped her hips.

My phone rang. Groaning, I reluctantly pulled away to answer it.

Dinah: Detective Hansen.

Unknown caller: this is Jake from earlier. A couple of months ago, there was an order for seventeen sleeping beauty pajama sets paid out to the order of Timon pow wow well.

I rolled my eyes. No doubt that was another fake name. I put the phone on speaker phone so Ally could hear.

Jake: There was an address attached since the person paid with a card.

That was great news.

Me: That's good news Jake. Thank you.

I hung up the phone. Ally quickly slid on her shoes, and I fixed my hair. She was out the door to get Lauren.
