I screamed as I was hit with freezing cold water. I immediately jumped out of bed, still trying to process what was going on. Seconds ago, I was sleeping. Now I was staring at two people who shouldn't be in my house. I didn't know how they got in, nor how they found my address. I did know that they were pissed though. Megan and Keke were glaring at me with such hatred. It made me want to shrink. They had every right to be mad at me. I was the reason why their sister left. I didn't even recognize that Megan had been talking to me; until, I was yanked off the ground and slammed into a wall. Boy did that shit hurt.
"I said what did you do? Where is my sister?" Megan said eerily calm, and I knew that she was about to beat my ass.
"I don't know what I did to make her leave. I've been trying to figure that out myself. Yeah. We argued a lot, but I don't know what was the last straw. I have been playing every word that she has ever said to me over and over again, trying to figure it out. She left me with a note. We were supposed to be together forever, and she left me. We love each other. How could she leave me all alone? I don't know how I'm going to find her because she doesn't want to be found. I screwed up, and she won't even let me fix it." I vented to Megan as she was holding me several feet off of the ground. I could see her features soften as she stared at me. "I'm sorry."
"Megan put her down and read this." Keke said softly as she gave Megan the note that Normani wrote to me.
Without another word, Megan let me go, and I fell to the ground. "Ouch." I groaned, rubbing my ass. Keke offered me her hand, and I took it. She helped me up.
"What you need to do first is stop nursing your heartache with alcohol." Keke said pointing to the various wine bottles around my room. Normani left me yesterday, and I just needed a drink to relax. Unfortunately, my one glass of wine turned into three bottles of wine with Tori. Lauren came and picked Tori up last night, reminding me that I was all alone. "Second, you need to hire a private investigator. Don't just get anyone. You need the best. Normani was the district attorney. There is no doubt in my mind that she didn't learn some trucks from the criminals that she locked away."
Megan folded the note. "Third, we know that Dinah was the main reason for most of yall arguments. Fix whatever the issue was before bringing Normani home." She placed it on the vanity right beside us.
"I will. I promise." I'm already working on the third thing.
"I'm sorry that she left you with a note." Megan said as she pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back. She wanted Normani back just as much as I did. Keke joined the hug. Whenever they left, I cleaned my room and started on my day. I had to come up with a plan to get my girlfriend back!

Two weeks! Two fucking weeks and no sign of Normani. I've tried contacting her using every form of modern technology and still nothing. I was getting annoyed. I hired a private investigator yesterday before my very long and tiresome meeting with my lawyers. They think that I shouldn't go after Mr. Hansen, but I don't care. It's about time that man pays for everything he put people through. Embezzlement, money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, and so much more. That man was beyond crooked. He did all of that stuff at least fifteen years ago. There was no telling what stuff he had gotten into now. He was probably tied into gangs and the mobs. I didn't care what anyone had to say. I was going after him. He helped destroy my life, and I would do the same to his.
I showed up to his office and left a note with his receptionist. There was no doubt in my mind that they were fucking. She was a pretty young woman. Five foot ten, model legs, big boobs, and a flirty personality. She was definitely smarter than what she let people believe. We started a conversation and before she knew it, she was on my arm, letting me take her out for lunch.
