Girls Day Out (and a mum)

I woke up and looked on the calendar. OMG! Coraline's birthday party is today! We are going to Aladdin the musical! I couldn't wait until we go to Capitol Theatre to see this amazing production. " Mum Mum, I've got to go to Coraline's house!"
I blurted out
" Oh is today Coraline's birthday?"
Asked Mum
" Yes it is, we are going to Aladdin the musical today, and how do you like my dress?"
I squealed

" It's excellent and that's the one uncle Thor bought you last year. And did you pack money, Lipstick, Coraline's birthday present?"
Asked Mum

" Yes, I'm ready, you got to drive me to Coraline's house, Penny is already there and I have to be there too before Coraline's mum takes us to Aladdin."
I replied
When mum dropped off at the sidewalk of Coraline's house. Coraline and Penny were already there.
" Hey girl"
They said
" Hi girls and Happy Birthday Coraline!"
I said
" Thanks Sabrina and I love your dress it's excellent and it looks like mine except it's purple."
Coraline replied.
" Thanks, Mine's turquoise."
I said

" How'd you like mine."
Asked Penny
" Excellent!" Coraline and I said together
" Thanks, its the same dress as you girls but it's red."
Penny replied
" Awesome! Best Friends Forever!"
We shouted.
" Alright girls we shall get going."
Said Coraline's mum.

Then we all piled into the car and Coraline's mum drove us to the city.
When we arrived at Capitol Theatre, we snapped pictures of us on our phones and made a video to post on Facebook so that we all had it. Then mum said to me
" Look who's here Cora."
We all turned around to look and we saw Audrey and her mum
" Hey Audrey." We all said together
" Hi Girls, Happy Birthday Coraline."
Said Audrey.

" Hello girls Ni Hao Ni Hao ma. Coraline. Happy Birthday, hope you have a healthy, beautiful and great day with lucky fortune."
Greeted Audrey's mum.
" Thanks... What's this?"
Asked Coraline
" Oh this, this is ang bao, red packet full of money for birthday. Hope you like it Xiao Bao Bei."
Replied Audrey's mum.

" Okay this is confusing me, Why do you call me Xiao Bao Bei? Isn't what you call Audrey? I'm not Audrey, does it look like I'm Audrey to you? Call me Cora or Coraline okay!"
Snapped Coraline.

" Coraline Jane! That is absolutely inappropriate, you shouldn't shame Audrey's mum. How would you feel if you were Audrey's mum?"
Replied Coraline's mum.

" Let's get into the theatre and love your dress Audrey."
Said Coraline.

" Thanks, Cora."
Replied Audrey.

When we got inside the theatre foyer we were looking at the Aladdin merchandise shop. I couldn't believe there were so many things we could buy. I bought an Aladdin lamp keyring and a book/program set. I also brought a pen just in case for after the show.

" OMG, that lamp is sooo cute and I love it."
Said Coraline
" I know right,.. Wait what's that smoky awful dusty smell?"
Asked Penny is disgust
" Um I'm so sorry, it's me and my mum."
Replied Audrey
" Uggh! Really is that the incense again?"
Asked Coraline
" Yea, it's incense my mum lights it every Chinese New Year."
I said
" Why do you smell like incense? You are going to stink out the whole theatre! And everyone is staring at us now."
Snapped Coraline

An usher runs to us and asks Coraline " Excuse me miss, are you okay?"
" No, I'm not, my friend and her mother smell like incense and now everyone's staring at us. It's my birthday and I'm trying to have a good time here and she's just ruining my birthday!"
Coraline said looking mad.
Audrey's mum sniffs and wipes away a tear, going up to the Usher.
" I'm so sorry, we were just at the temple before we got here."
She says.

" Is that some sort of a Taoist thing?"
Asked Penny
" No we're buddhist."
Replied Audrey's mum.

Later, it was time for the show and we got to our seats, the usher announced over the loudspeaker " Salaam and good afternoon to you, welcome to Disney's Aladdin the musical we hope you have an enchanting experience. This performance contains Smoke haze and Strobe lights,some sound effects may trigger people. Audrey was sitting next to her mum and started praying.
" Why are they praying?"
Asked Coraline
" I don't know, just get an Usher."
Replied Penny
" It must be the smoke haze and strobe lights, it'll be okay."
I said.

After Audrey and her mum stopped praying, the show was about to begin. I loved how the marketplace scene gave it so much lighting and beautiful props and sets that make the scene more beautiful. This is the best representation of the story and way better than the movie. Live on Stage, Living the dream of playing Princess Jasmine on broadway.

My most favourite scene from this musical is Friend like me. Ugh! It's so spectacular, When they say this musical is for kids, it's more for the teens and adults. After Act 1 ended, it was time for intermission.

As we walked out of the theatre to get drinks, go to the bathroom, or buy merch, everyone else just pushed in front of us which was so squishy. Uggh!
