A week before the concert

Tuesday after school, Coraline, Penny and I walk to the dance studio and get ready for class. Today was the day that we would be revealing our costumes and the fitting. Audrey walked into the studio and handed Madam Roselle the costumes in a lilac cloth bag with flowers. All of the girls were talking to each other about the costume fittings and how they would look like.

After an hour of rehearsals, we're finally got to reveal the costumes. Audrey took them out of the bag and all of the girls gasped. They got their phones and took pictures of them. Then Audrey showed my Thor costume.. It was just sooo amazing and beautiful. Then it was time for the fitting. I looked in the mirror, Sabrina wasn't in the mirror, It was Thor! I had never felt so glamorous and awesome before in my life. This costume is one of the best ones I have received in my previous dance years when I did the concerts.

We all thanked Audrey for the excellent and stunning costumes that we were given. Madam Roselle placed them in her pink costume box where all of the props for our dance were. Then it was the end of class. Ashley and I walked along the streets talking to each other about the costumes that Audrey's mum made for the dance of Thor. When we got home from dance, Captain Marvel was in the dance studio room and we practised the dance using black and red cloaks as our practice costumes.

I couldn't believe it, one week to go until the concert. So we kept practicing because the concert is next week. It's going to be exciting performing in a dance concert again. Dance is just what I enjoy the most about my week because I get to see my friends and ballet is just my passion that I've had for such a long time since I was 6 years old.

The concert was going to be at the Kirrawee theatre. I couldn't wait to be on that stage and dancing in front of a big crowd and my family. I kept working hard with my extra dance classes from Captain Marvel. And practising hard at Madam Roselle's dance studio.

After practice Madam Roselle announced..
" That was excellent girls, Next Thursday we are going to have a practice class of the dance at the Kirrawee theatre. It will be a dress rehearsal and you girls will get to take your costumes home."
All of the girls gasped and Audrey asked
" Where's the Kirrawee theatre?"
" The Kirrawee theatre is just about ten minutes away from here."
Replied Madam Roselle.

Then she handed our costumes in costume bags to take home. All of the girls were so excited to take them home and wear them to class next Thursday. My Thor costume was the most beautiful costume I have ever worn for dance. The costumes from Curtis' shop would have been ordinary and we were originally going to use those. But luckily Audrey's mum is a fashion designer and costume maker. And she made these stunning Thor costumes for the dance.

At school, Penny, Coraline and I were talking about the costumes and the dress rehearsal that was happening next Thursday.  I was counting down hours and days until the dress rehearsal before the concert.
When Mr Bennett walked past us when we were in the locker room, he asked
" You girls talking about ballet again? You go on with this and make other kids feel left out with this conversation you are currently making."

Then Penny, Coraline and I looked and glared at each other,Penny said
" We're just talking about rehearsals for the dance concert."
" Don't tell him that!"
Whispered Audrey to Penny.
" Hhmmm okay, just make sure that it's nothing inappropriate."
Said Mr Bennett.
Then we got back to our conversation and made our way to Art class. When we were working on our canvas painting art, Penny asked
" Hey, Hey Coraline. How long does it take to get to Kirrawee theatre? "
" You live in Sylvania, so it takes about 10 or 11 minutes from where you are."
Replied Coraline.
" I live in the same suburb as Penny so it'll take me the same time you said how long it will take to get to the theatre."
I said.

When we went over to Penny's house, we were discussing about the concert and how exciting it was to be performing at Kirrawee theatre.
" We've never even performed at Kirrawee theatre."
Said Penny
" Yes, we have a few times when we did the Acting competition for school."
Said Coraline.
" We've never performed at Kirrawee theatre for dance."
I replied.

" Next week on Saturday, my mum has to attend a funeral and she can't take me to the theatre or watch the dance concert."
Informed Penny
" I'm so sorry to hear that Penny, I can ask my mum if she can drive me and you to the theatre."
Said Coraline
" Thanks, I'd love to, I'll go and ask my mum."
Replied Penny.
