Competing for the costumes

The next day was Wednesday and I was over at Coraline's house. Penny ran into her house and panicked... " I went to the costume shop today and the shopkeeper Curtis was talking to a teenage boy and his friends about buying the costumes we needed for our dance concert. "
" That isn't cool at all, we've got to let Madam Roselle know about this."
I said

" And Curtis was talking to them about buying the costumes at the end of next week. And we still have time."
Remembers Penny.
" If we bake more cakes, sell them and if we have raised enough, we will buy the costumes."
Said Coraline.
So we spent the afternoon baking cakes to sell for the fundraiser.

Then after we finished decorating the cakes, we packed them in a cart and went for a walk around the neighbourhood. We stopped at a house where a man and three kids were playing outside.
" Would you like to buy any cakes? We are raising money for the costumes for our dance concert."
Asked Penny
" What are you girls doing here on my lawn?! Get off my lawn and leave my kids alone! They don't want cakes from young teenage dancers!"
The man snapped.
" We're sorry."
We said together.

Then we went off to the next house. I rang the doorbell and said
" Good Afternoon Sir, would you like to buy any cakes? We are doing a fundraiser to buy costumes for our dance concert. We've got Caramel Mudcake, Red Velvet, Lemon zest and White choc mud."
I explained.
" Oh wow! And yes, I would like to buy the Red velvet cake for me amd my wife since it's our anniversary today."
The old man replied as he handed Coraline $12.00.

" Thanks."
Said Coraline.
Then we walked over to another block of houses. We sold the rest of the cakes and it was time for me and Penny to go back home.
" Penny, Sabrina, I have each given you a copy of my cake recipes so you girls can bake them at home."
Said Coraline as she handed us the recipe pages.
After Penny and her mum dropped me off outside my house, I went inside and went straight to the kitchen. Then Captain Marvel walks over to me and asks

" Okay Sabrina, shall we make it over to the dance studio?"
" Um, I'm kinda busy, I have to bake cakes so they are ready to sell for tomorrow and I'll be working on my essay while the cakes are baking."
I replied.
" Oh, seems like you're not in the mood for practice today, Sabrina Odinson."
She smiled and went upstairs.

I followed the recipe and baked the cakes. Then when they were being baked in the oven, I worked on finishing the last part of my homework essay. When I finished my essay, I decided to watch a little bit of South Park. Then when I was halfway through an episode and the cakes were done. I cooled them on a wire rack and went back to watching South Park. Then mum came into the kitchen and put the cakes in the fridge so they would be ready to frost after dinner. We had cheese and chicken quesadillas for dinner with a side of Nachos.

After dinner, I went to get the cakes out of the fridge and frosted them using the icing I made earlier. Then I went to the pantry and looked for Tim Tams, 100s and 1000s, Chocolate chips and Party mix lollies. I decorated the cakes with detail and colour variation. After I decorated, The cakes were placed in cake boxes to be sold tomorrow. I am definitely going to sell the most cakes.

The next day after school, I sold all four of the cakes I made last night and went to the kitchen to make another five cakes ready to sell for the next day. I used an old note tracker pad to track down how many cakes we've sold over the week.

Then the baking all continued until next week.
At Dance class on Tuesday, Madam Roselle told the dance class about what Curtis, the costume shop's shopkeeper was doing to get the group of teenage boys to buy their costumes. Then Penny stormed into the dance studio and announced..

" Bad News, this is just bad!! When I was walking across the costume shop on the way here, I saw the teenage boys talking to Curtis and counting their money."
" I saw the same thing too, Curtis was just telling the boys they only needed $5.00 more to buy the costumes."
Added Ainsley.
" I saw that happen too."
Said Frida.
" Now girls, we shall sort out this problem together before the end of class. So let's get with the rehearsals."
Madam Roselle said.

We rehearsed the dance and added in any extra parts to make it a little like Thor, rather than just some ordinary dance we were doing for a concert or exam. I was still thinking about the costumes that we would be using for the concert.

But what if the boys bought the costumes and we were left with nothing but red and black cloaks using props?
