The Dream Dance of a lifetime

Thursday Dress rehearsal

I woke up one Thursday afternoon and looked at my calendar. " OMG! Today's the day of the dress rehearsal for the concert. I packed for school and dance class. Then I decided that I wanted to go to Penny's house and get the bus with her.
I got my things and walked out the door and across the road to Penny's house.

" Sí, Yes. Sueña bien, puedes llevar centavo al teatro con coraline."
Said Penny's mum as she was on the phone with Mrs Anderson.
Penny was inside the house, I knocked on the door. Penny opened the door and said
" Hi Sabrina, you can come in, mum's on the phone. And I have breakfast if you want some."
" Thanks for the breakfast, but it's ok. I guess ate a double chocolate chip muffin from the dance studio vending machine."
I replied.
Mrs Velez came off the phone and walked into the kitchen.
" Hola Sabrina, I just made some bollos. These are the sweet buns that Penny loves."
She said.

" Oh thanks, You didn't have to do that and I just ate breakfast at home."
I replied.
Then Penny's mum goes over to the fridge and pours sweet milk into her coffee.
After Penny finished her bollos, she grabbed her stuff and we walked out the door together. It was fun getting the bus with Penny.
Penny and I couldn't wait until this afternoon because we were having our dress rehearsal. When we arrived at school, we put our things in our lockers. My Thor costume was hanging on a coat hook and I safely put it with my backpack and dance bag. Then we made our way to Tech class.

During Lunchtime in the cafeteria, Coraline, Penny, Audrey and I were talking about going to the Kirrawee theatre to rehearse in our costumes. I couldn't concentrate on schoolwork, we were all excited about the dress rehearsal at the Kirrawee theatre. Then after school, We all waited outside for our parents to arrive.
" You wanna come with us?"
Asked Coraline and Penny
" Yes, sure Mum's working back late tonight and won't be back home until 9:30 tonight."
I said
Ashley was going to the theatre with Annabelle and Naomi, I thought I had to take Ash to the theatre with Coraline and Penny.
Coraline's mum was driving us to the Kirrawee theatre. We took our stuff and we were off to the theatre.

When got to the theatre, We didn't see anyone outside the theatre. Coraline saw a text message from Madam Roselle. The dress rehearsal wasn't at the theatre, It was at the studio. All this way for nothing! And the dress rehearsal is now at the studio.
" Oh for goodness sake, Madam Roselle said it was at the theatre and now she says it's at the studio."
Groaned Coraline's mum looking annoyed.

" Oh a call from Madam Roselle, please don't tell me that the location is at the theatre and then at the dance studio again."
Coraline's mum drove us to the dance studio and we saw the girls and Madam Roselle.
When we got inside the dance studio, Madam Roselle said
" I'm so sorry about the confusion,
We were meant to have our dress rehearsal there, but the theatre was closed so we are doing it here instead."

Then, we got changed into our costumes and began with our warm ups and dance run-through. It felt excellent to be dancing in my Thor costume and dancing with the hammer. It was so fun to be dancing in our costumes for one big dress rehearsal day, the last dance class of the year. The final rehearsal before we went home was just the perfect take. Everything was just flawless. After that, we took our costumes off and Madam Roselle said

" That was excellent girls, I love how you girls danced beautifully and flawlessly. I'm so proud of you girls. See you at the theatre on Saturday afternoon."
When I got home, Captain Marvel opens the door for me and asks
" Ready for another practice?"
Then I set my stuff down and go to the dance studio room with Ashley. We do an hour of practising the dance with our costumes and getting the steps right for the parts. I stayed back after that our to work on my Thor solo dance for Saturday night.
