Tragedy and Emergency

When we got to the MTR station, Dad asked us if we wanted any last minute drinks or refreshments to take back home. Ashley and I just opted for  Minute Maid lemonade. When we got to the platforms, our train was just about to leave, so we got on the train before it left. But when I ran in, the doors just shut and hit my left ankle very badly. Luckily Dad caught me and I wasn't on the dirty floor of a train.

But a crew member saw my left ankle was lodged in the part of the closed train doors. Ashley and Mum were standing inside the train holding onto the rail with all of the people all crammed into one train to Kowloon. The crew member pressed the emergency stop button to release my poor left ankle that was lodged in between the doors of the train. Other crew members came to help and one of them said that everyone who was on the train to Tung Chung to get off the train so they could release me and Dad carrying me from inside the train.

Then as Mum saw that my left ankle wouldn't stop bleeding, she had to call an ambulance to come to the platform. The MTR crew members carried me to the platform while Mum, Ashley and Dad followed. About ten minutes later, the ambulance came to examine my left ankle.
" Well your daughter's ankle is very bad and with that terrible train door tragedy, she bursted a blood vessel in her ankle."
Explained one of the doctors.
" We'll take her to hospital, and I will need her name and age."
Said another doctor.
" Sabrina Odinson. And she's 16 years old."
Said Mum as her heart was beating very fast as she hugged Ashley.

" I've got that information down. We going to take her to Tsing Yi Hospital. You guys can just get train and meet us at hospital."
Said a doctor.
Then Mum, Dad and Ashley waited for another train to Kowloon and then make the journey to Tsing Yi hospital.

Time skip.. Tsing Yi hospital, the next day.. I wake up at 5:30 in the morning and I find myself in a room with beeping and purring machines around me, I'm in a blue nightgown and I realised that my ankle is all bandaged up with white plaster and there is still a little bit of blood on it.

I looked at my phone and saw 5 missed calls from Penny and Coraline. I just wanted to at least sleep for a few more hours and just at least get some rest after what just happened to my poor left ankle. The problems I have with my feet and ankles are, my bandaged up left ankle that I can't move at all and my right ankle is very weak at the moment. I feel like someone just took my ankle away from my leg. Then after a few hours I realised there was more pain than ever.

So I got my notebook and wrote a short poem

Pain
Pain is blood
Pain is not any gain
Bleeding, Excruciating, Stabbing
Painful

By Sabrina Odinson.

After writing this short poem, A nurse came in.
" Hello I'm nurse Sarah, I will be looking after you during your stay in the hospital."
She introduced
" Hi, I'm Sabrina Odinson. And what happened to my ankle?"
I asked
" Well nice to meet you Sabrina, and your left ankle feels lighter than your right because the surgery last night on your left ankle, they removed a bone inside because it was infected."
Replied nurse Sarah.

I couldn't believe that my left ankle bone was removed due to an infection. Last night was meant to be a great night but ended up having a surgery at almost midnight. Surgeries suck but it's all going to be good after that and you can do the things you used to do. Then later, My first visitors were my parents and Ashley.

" Sabrina, we're so glad you're okay."
Relieved Dad
" That was totally brutal last night and it felt so lonely without you in our apartment."
Said Ashley.
" Thanks, Ashley but you are 15. You must learn to be independent and stand up for yourself."
I said.
Mum came over to me and took off my blanket and saw my bandaged up ankle after the surgery.

" Well Mr and Mrs Odinson, Sabrina won't be able to walk for a few days. She will have to stay here for four weeks because of her ankle needs a long time to get better after surgery. And we'll give her another surgery if it gets worse than before."
Explained nurse Sarah
" Please not another surgery."
I begged.

Then after nurse Sarah was talking to Mum, Dad and Ashley, She sent my family back home so they could give me some time to rest before my blood test this afternoon. I couldn't eat or drink until 5:30 pm. It sucked so bad that I wasn't going to ear or drink for a long time.

So I just decided that I would write in my notebook or maybe send letters to my friends.
