It was Thursday afternoon and I was walking to dance class. In my dance bag, I took the envelope with the money I raised in it. Today was the day when we were counting our money for our dance costumes Madam Roselle was going to buy this weekend in order to do the fitting next Tuesday.
When I got to the dance studio, Madam Roselle said
" Hello girls, so I say that all of you have brought in their money they have raised over the two weeks you had to sell cakes. But first let's get through our warm up and then our rehearsals."Today I worked really hard with the dance and I wasn't really messing up my parts for the solo and the dance. I kept working hard and practising with Captain Marvel. Then after we finished our rehearsals, we brought our envelopes with the money we raised inside it. Madam Roselle counted the money and after she finished counting the money, she announced the winners of who sold the most cakes and raised the most money over the two weeks.
" So here are our winners for our fundraiser.. In First place.. Coraline Anderson!, Second place.. Sabrina Odinson. Third place Ainsley Jin. And well done to all of you girls, our costume fitting will be on Tuesday next week. And those who are the winners, please stay back after class to receive your prizes."
Everyone Applauded. The prize I won was a new black leotard and a new palette of eye shadow. Coraline's prize was a purple leotard, eye shadow palette and new pointe shoes. Ainsley's prize was lipstick and a palette of eye shadow.
I was very proud of myself for raising $40.00 for this fundraiser and I hope that the teenage boys won't get to our costumes because those are the ones we need for our dance concert. I knew who those boys at the costume shop were, I don't know their names but they are cosplayers and I always see them when I walk past the dance studio and sometimes I see them at the Taste of Kyoto Japanese restaurant across the road from the dance studio.
Penny, Coraline and I eat there every Friday. We always say that Friday night is our Sushi party for dinner night, and sometimes we go to the Chinese takeaway because we definitely love Chinese food as well as various other foods we like to have for our dinner on a Friday or Saturday night when we want a little get together for the start of the weekend or just to hang out.
The next day was Friday and was the due date for my homework essay. I couldn't believe that we were getting the costumes next week for our dance we have been working on. I hope that Curtis doesn't sell the costumes to those cosplayer boys. When we were walking to the Taste of Kyoto Japanese restaurant, we saw Madam Roselle with the money we've raised from the past two weeks giving it to Curtis but he sadly said
" I'm very sorry about this Veronica, but I already sold those cosplay costumes to those teenage boys this afternoon."
" What! Do you have another set of those costumes for the dance concert? I really need those for the concert."
Said Madam Roselle looking worried." No, I'm very sorry about this, A new stock of those costumes will arrive December 24 and you said the concert was the 2nd. I'm so sorry Miss."
Curtis sadly replied.Madam Roselle walked away with her dance bag looking sad and went for the sushi restaurant. When we were ordering sushi, I saw Madam Roselle order takeaway sushi and I asked her
" Madam Roselle, Did you buy the costumes?"
" No sadly, We are very sad to say this but there isn't a costume for the dance concert."
She replied sadly. Then she took her sushi and went off for the corner shop." Do you think we will have a costume for our dance?"
Asked Coraline
" No, I think she said we might stick to leotards and cloaks, props."
I replied.
