BLAST (Katsuki Bakugou x Reader)

Chapter 12

"Hey there you are. I saw what you did out there. That's an amazing Quirk. Creating such a force with just a flick of your finger. In terms or power it seems on par with All Might's Quirk."

While walking through the halls, she bumped into a large blue spandex and fiery moustache.

"My boy Shouto. He has a duty to surpass All Might. His match against you will prover a valuable test. So give it your all. Put up a good fight against him. That's all I have to say. Sorry for my bluntness."

"I'm not All Might, and Todoroki isn't you."

"Todoroki versus Aizawa!"

Midnight had just finished her announcement as an enormous amount of ice shot her way giving her no choice but to smash it with her Air Bullets.

Todoroki didn't give her a chance to recover and repeated his actions followed by the girl. But she just defended herself and her opponent noticed.

"Didn't my dad tell you to give it your all? Don't worry I'll end this quickly."

She got caught off guard by his statement. Had he heard her previous conversation with Endeavor? He didn't overhead Midoriya when he had done it so why now?

Her thoughts got interrupted though when ice shot at her again but this time when she broke it, Todoroki appeared from on top of it having used it as an aversion to get closer. Having anticipated this move, she used full cowl to quickly dodge his attempt of hitting her in close combat.

Their eyes crossed and she could see the determination set deep in his eyebrows. Though it wasn't the look she remembered, he didn't look as angry.

"Why should I give my all if you aren't? You heard it when I told him right?"

He stopped his attack for a moment to glare up at his dad, knowing that his opponent wouldn't strike behind his back.

"Yes and I appreciate it, thanks to you he doesn't look that happy. But I can't give him the satisfaction of using his Quirk."

His heterochromatic eyes looked back into hers. He was still set on defeating her with only his right side but she could swear that he looked slightly undecided.

"You're Icyhot, both ice and fire. Give me your all!"

For the first time she ran forward and got closer to the boy. She hadn't been doing much so she was still full on energy unlike the other who started showing signs of hypothermia as ice started forming on his skin.

His reflexes weren't slowed down but they weren't fast enough to dodge her punch to his abdomen which forced him backwards. No time to recover was given as she jumped to him and this time kicked him, to what he had to create an ice wall to catch him so he wouldn't fly out of the border.

"You are way stronger than I am. But I'm gonna give it my all now, I want to exceed the expectations that everyone has of me because I'm not going to be a nobody again! I want to be someone, a Hero! So if you want to beat me you better get serious and get over it or I will kick your fucking ass!"

Ice left his arm towards her but she didn't dodge this time. With One For All she punched through it and kept going until it hit his jaw.

He arched backwards and she used his imbalance to get him fully on the ground. One knee holding his left arm down and her other foot holding his right wrist pinned down. One hand pulling him up by his collar and the other ready to punch him again.

"So according to you he's my father and I should be trying to get along with him?"

His eyes were filled with disgust as he angrily spat out his hatred of the man. He was starting to loose feeling of his left arm and struggled to create more ice, he was loosing.

"No he's abusive and he needs to go down. But how do you plan on defeating him if you can't even beat me?"

His eyes widened and he seemed to get lost in thought so she punched his cheek, without adding any of her Quirk this time, to bring him back and concentrate.

"It's your Quirk not his!"

And just like that fire erupted from his body, burning her left side that was holding his right down. She hissed and jumped back, away from his flames.

Once they cleared, his smirk met hers. Red surrounded him, matching the flashes of One For All that decorated her body.

"SHOUTO!"

Her eyes rolled automatically at Endeavor's speech of how his son had finally accepted it and would fulfill his ambitions. She couldn't keep her cringe in and spoke up but surprise hit her when another voice accompanied hers.

"Shut the fuck up!"

Wide eyes and obvious smile got directed towards Todoroki who gave her a nod.

"I have my own ambitions, thank you for remembering me. Let's give it our all, the both of us this time, Aizawa."

"You got it, Icyhot!"

Both ran at each other, maximum speed. Fists bracing for impact, maximum power.

The arena got filled with smoke once the attacks had landed. The audience slapped in the face by the gush of wind their power had created.

Once the smoke cleared, the blocks Cementos had created in order to prevent the two from hitting one another head on had been smashed to pieces and as had the fighting ring.

Todoroki's shirt had been burned to its half matching the girls almost fully burned one showing her reddened skin. Confusion erupted when the girl's position became clear.

The cement blocks hadn't been able to stop her attack, she had made her way though them and met Todoroki's flames.

As much as he had tried to secure himself with ice he had been blown against the wall, outside of the ring. Shocked eyes staring at the equally surprised ones still behind the line.

Her body heaved and she could barely fill herself with oxygen. Seems like she'd gotten ahead of herself and used more power than she could handle, her arm was already bruised and it hurt to even move her fingers.

"Aizawa moves on to the third round!"
