Chapter 49

---Meanwhile at U.A.---

"We'll be restarting the internships, you should focus on that instead, Shitty Hair."

"Yeah, I know, I just can't help but worry about her."

Kirishima sighed, the class had just gotten the news that she'd escaped prison and had become the leader of 'The Paranormal Liberation Front'.

"She's a traitor."

"But she's a friend! Maybe there's another side to the story!"

Kaminari tried to reason but Sero put his hand on his shoulder to get his attention and shaking his head. That's when the blonde noticed the sad look on Mina's face and decided to keep quiet.

"She's no friend of mine."

Bakugou scoffed and walked away from the group as soon as the bell rang, announcing the end of lunch break.

She'd betrayed them all, she'd betrayed him. He didn't understand why the others didn't get that and still cared about her.

He couldn't deny though, his heart ached at the mere thought of her. He missed her. A lot.

"Damn Bakugou got a bit nicer after his internship with Best Jeanist but I don't think it'll be like that again after joining Endeavor's Agency."

Sero noted, remembering where his classmate was going to intern at this time as his previous Pro-Hero was too busy this time.

"Bet he will explode the whole building!"

Kaminari made his own sound effects while copying Bakugou's iconic hand gestures.

"I remember (Y/N) telling me how she and Todoroki totally hated their internship at Endeavor's. He was a total asshole towards her and only focused on his son."

Mina joined on the topic.

"Guess Lord Explosion Murder wants to show that he's better than the, and I quote, 'fucking bastard traitors'."

Shinsou tried to lift up the mood by copying Bakugou just like Kaminari did before and eventhough it wasn't very humorous, the friends appreciated his attempt.

"You guys don't agree with Bakugou do you?"

Kirishima asked timidly, scared his friends might not share his opinion.

"Are you crazy, man? Of course we don't! Shinsou brainwashed her before so that means that what she told him was true! There must be something about this that we are missing!"

Kaminari almost jumped him for questioning their trust in each other.

"I'm sure our Chika has a good reason for what she's doing."

"A breach?"

Aizawa asked Nezu, as the principal had gathered the staff together for an emergency meeting.

"Yes, the school's security system has been breached, I suspect it's the Paranormal Liberation Font."

The teachers were anxiously exchanging glances knowing how vulnerable they were. It was their own former student who stood at the lead of their enemy now after all.

"Have they been able to get any information?"

Midnight spoke up before anyone else could and out of the corner of her eye she noticed Present Mic giving Aizawa a worried look, knowing how the classroom teacher was blaming himself into the ground.

"Not that we know off."

Nezu answered, placing his paws underneath his chin and eyeing everyone in the room.

"I suspect another traitor."

"Another? Oh dear."

Recovery Girl sighed shaking her head.

"I don't know whether they are a staff member or student. Amazon surely planned her betrayal well."

"Was All For One's execution part of it?"

Ectoplasm questioned the principal.

"Why of course! All Might has the power of One For All which he had entrusted to (Y/N) before he passed. All For One has kind of the counterpart Quirk of All Might's. My guess is that she killed him in order to steal his Quirks."

Nezu explained seeming rather unbothered by the fact, but maybe that was because he stated a fact that to him was rather obvious.

"That makes her even more dangerous!"

Snipe spoke what everyone was thinking.

"And the fact that there might be another traitor in our midst..."

Aizawa clenched his fist and Present Mic put his own hand over it in order to calm him down.

"I believe there is something about this that we are missing."

The staff around the blonde quieted down, surprised by his statement till Nezu broke the silence.

"What might that be, Mic?"

"(Y/N) is a smart girl. She also knows about a certain future and she knows an awful lot about all public people which means she knows our strong and weak points and also our personalities and capabilities. But I think I speak for all of us when I say that eventhough it seems like she has betrayed us, I can't help but feel that there's more to it and she's only doing this all for a higher cause."

"And what's that?"

"Something bigger than us. Something way above our league. Just think about all the lives she has saved! If it weren't for her we would've lost so many people-"

"All Might is dead. But according to (Y/N) that shouldn't have happened. Meaning that he died because she changed something she shouldn't have. Who knows how all the lives she saved will affect the new future she is building. Get over it Hizashi, the (Y/N) we knew was a fake."

Aizawa interrupted Present Mic and the room got tense. Everyone was still hoping for the best and wishing it was all a misunderstanding of some sort. Everyone besides Aizawa who wanted to do everything he could to bring down the monster he felt like he had created.

"Frankenstein's Monster."

A deep voice spoke, finishing off with a chuckle before the whole room got lit with blue flames.
