(3rd person perspective)

Noah and Chase both knew they had to act like nothing "weird" happened between them for the day. Neither of them wanted anyone else to know.

Josh spotted a two player racing game that interested him. Since it was only made for two players, Josh suggested that they could take turns. One game with Josh and Jaden, and one with Noah and Chase... Josh and Jaden started to play the game, meanwhile chase and noah were awkwardly standing behind them to watch.

Since Josh and Jaden were distracted, Chase took the opportunity to start eyeing Noah in a flirty way. He felt something comfroting deep inside his chest when he looked at him. Just because he didn't want anyone to know, didn't mean that he did not want more.

Noah, on the other hand, tried to avoid eye contact with chase as much as possible. He didn't want to risk getting caught. He stared at the game screen with extreme focus. But after a while, Noah's disobedient eyes decided to catch a glimpse of chase. "Just for a second", he thought. Noah noticed chase's flirtatious stares. His icy blue eyes looked so captivating. Noah couldn't help but to blush. But as soon as he did, he stopped himself. He stopped looking at him, and paid his attention back to the game. Noah wasn't comfortable with what he was feeling, especially after the deep thoughts he had the other night. "I'm straight," He kept repeating in his head.

Josh and Jaden finally finished their turn. Now, it was time for Chase and Noah to race. They played the game quietly and awkwardly, unlike like Jaden and Josh who were laughing and talking the whole time. What COULD they say to eachother?       Eventually, Josh and Jaden noticed the awkwardness between Noah and Chase. They both looked at eachother, raising an eyebrow. Josh started to mouth the words, "What's up with them?" Jaden mouthed, "I don't know" as he raised his shoulders.

Eventually, the game finished. It felt like an eternity. Noah was starting to worry, that due to the silence, Josh and Jaden would suspect something. He knew he had to do something. After that quiet game, they all began to play any other interesting game they could find.

Then, Jaden saw a photo booth and wanted to take some photos. "Come on guys, let's take some for memories," he said. Josh was down for the idea. Noah and Chase agreed as well, even though they didn't want to. They all squeezed in the machine, Noah's and Chase's shoulders touched due to lack of space. They both looked at eachother for a second, then quickly looked away as they smiled awkwardly.

Then all of a sudden, josh remembered that he left his wallet back at the indoor restaurant. He screamed, "OH CRAP, I forgot my wallet over at the drinks, Jaden come help me find it." Jaden rolled his eyes and agreed to help him look. They rushed back to the restaurant, leaving Noah and Chase alone in the photo booth.

They sat there in silence for a moment. There were curtains in the machine, no one could see them. Chase wanted to feel Noah's lips more than anything in the world, but he didn't know if he should just go for it or to say something first. But before Chase could speak, Noah broke the silence. He said, "Look, I know what happened between us was weird. But we have to stop acting awkwardly around eachother. We don't want to make them suspect anything. We're both in the same friend groups, so we just have to get along." Chase nodded and said, "I don't think it was weird, but you're right. Friends?" Chase raised his hand for a hand shake. "Friends." said Noah firmly as he shook his hand.

Then not long after, Josh and Jaden came back with the wallet, and took the pictures. It was getting late so they all agreed to call it a day. Everyone said goodbye and went on their way. When the sway boys got inside the car, Noah left a quiet sigh of relief. Josh, in the driver's seat, looked back at Noah through the car mirror and noticed. Then Josh said, "Hey, sorry about earlier today." Noah looked up confused, and asked "for what?" Josh replied "For the race game. I should've raced with you or chase instead of Jaden. It was probably weird for you guys to be grouped together since you don't know eachother that well." Noah was caught off guard, but responded, "it's okay."

Josh started the car and they went on their way. Noah was a little fearful, because now he knows that Josh and Jaden noticed something. But, he was relieved that they didn't suspect anything more, and just thought it was because him and chase didn't "know" eachother.

Meanwhile that was happening, Chase was still parked outside the arcade. He put his favorite songs, and reclined his chair all the way back as he stared at the car ceiling. He couldn't help but to smile uncontrollably. "Noah and I are friends," he whispered happily to himself. He started to laugh in disbelief as he put his hands behind his head. Then, he noticed something in the backseat. He picked it up, and saw a Polaroid of him and Charli hugging. His smile faded as he remembered who he was lying to. "I'm sorry baby," he said as a tear fell down on his face. He wanted to love her. He really wanted to. He thought he would be able to if he forced himself to. There was nothing wrong with her, she's as good as they come. But, he couldn't love her, no matter how hard he tried. Not her, or any girl before that.

And he hated himself for that.
