Noah got in Chase's car. It was a nice car, you could tell it was thoroughly cleaned. Noah and chase looked directly at eachother for a few seconds. They were both gazing into eachother's eyes. Chase smiled, and said, "Hey, I'm glad you agreed to come." Noah looked outside the car window, then asked, "So what's the plan for today?"

Chase's eyes opened wide as he opened his mouth out of shock. He completely forgot to plan something to do. He tried to cover it up by saying, "Well, I thought it would be a good idea to just go with the flow. Y'know, just go into anything we find interesting." Noah laughed, as he said, "You forgot to plan didn't you?" Chase rolled his eyes playfully as he chuckled. He couldn't help but notice Noah's laugh. It was different, but nice. "Well, I don't know that much about you, how was I supposed to plan something good," he said as he smiled nervously. Noah nodded in agreement, saying, "okay, that's a good point."

Chase looked at Noah, and said, "Well, then maybe we should get to know eachother better. What kind of stuff do you like to do?" Noah thought about it, as he looked out the front window. He responded, "Well, I'm super into soccer. I like some other sports too. But other than that, I don't know." Chase said in response, "Hm... I've never been the sports type. I always sucked at them. Maybe you could teach me?" Noah smiled, and  looked at chase with excitement. He shouted, "Really?! You want me to teach you? I've always wanted to teach a rookie some pointers!"

Chase noticed the excitement in Noah's face. He could tell from the glow in his eyes. Chase felt goosebumps, the good kind you feel when you see someone you like, but he looked away to avoid any awkward tension. He grabbed the driving wheel, and said, "I know a soccer field nearby. We could buy a soccer ball, and go there." Noah nodded in agreement. They went to a sports store, bought a soccer ball, then  headed towards the soccer field.

They arrived at the field's parking lot, and got out of the car. The park was empty. Noah grabbed the soccer ball from the trunk, then they walked to the nearest soccer field. Noah dropped the ball into the grass, and said, "Are you ready?" Chase gulped, and unconfidently replied, "Um yeah, sure!" Noah could tell he was nervous. He tried to calm him down, by saying, "Don't worry, you'll be fine. Let me see  what you got so far, try aiming the ball towards that goal net over there." Chase ran to the ball, and kicked it strongly, and the ball flew. But it went far away from the net.  Chase covered his face out of embarrassment, as he said, "I told you I suck at sports." Noah chuckled, and said, "Well you're never gonna get better with that mindset. It takes practice."

Noah ran after the ball, as chase stood there waiting for him. Chase thought to himself, "I can't embarrass myself in front of him. I gotta do better." Noah came back with the ball, and said, "Okay, well you got good strength, but we need to work on that aim." Noah dropped the ball in start position, then said, "If you want to kick the ball with accuracy, you gotta kick it with the side of your foot. You kicked it with the front of your foot, which makes it harder. I'll show you." Noah got closer to chase, showing him how to kick correctly. He held both of Chase's shoulders and moved him a bit, saying, "your body has to face forward too." They were very close to eachother, Chase could feel Noah's breath on his neck. Chase began to blush. Noah could feel the heat in Chase's body building up, then he noticed how close he was to him. Noah quickly pulled his hands away from Chase and backed up, as he grinned awkwardly. His heart started to beat a little bit.

Chase took a few steps back from the soccer ball, with a very focused mind. He had his eyes on the ball, and had all Noah's tips in mind. "I can do this," he thought to himself. Then he quickly started to run towards the ball, feeling every step he took. He aimed his feet to the side, and kicked the ball with full force. This time, the ball didn't fly, it glided quickly, and it was heading for the goal. It was getting closer and closer, but the ball started to narrow a little. The ball missed the goal net, just by a little bit.

Chase kicked the grass in anger, he  truly thought he could make it. He didn't even want to look at Noah, because he was too embarrassed. But, he heard claps from nearby. It was Noah. He kept on clapping, and shouting, "Woo! Alright!" Chase was confused, he didn't know why Noah was being so supportive of his failure. He walked towards Noah in shame, saying, "Sorry, I took all your tips but I still couldn't do it." Noah responded, "What do you mean? You did great! You were so much closer to the goal then the first time. We just have to keep practicing. That's what progress is all about." Chase smiled in admiration, then said, "I never thought about it that way. I guess you're right. You're a pretty good coach." Noah blushed, and said, "aww thanks."

And they kept practicing for a while. Noah kept giving Chase sport tips, and chase kept trying. Noah kept cheering chase on, so he wouldn't give up. After a few tries, Chase finally hit the goal. He was jumping up and down and shouting out of happiness. Noah ran to chase and gave him a high five, as he said, "I knew you could do it!" Then Chase replied, "I couldn't have done it without you."

The sun was starting to set, and chase was very tired from all the physical activity he did. When he noticed the sun was setting, he told Noah, "I'm so tired, can we rest in the benches over there?" Noah agreed, and they made their way to the benches. Chase went back to the car for some water bottles, then he came back and they sat down. They had a perfect view of the sunset through the field. They both looked at the sky for a while in silence.

The shining sun reminded chase of the date he had with charli a few days ago. He was so distracted with Noah that he completely forgot the situation he was going through. He looked at Noah, and noticed how the sun made him glow. He could feel his soul vibrate through his body. His heart was pounding, and his eyes were hypnotized. He reacted so strongly to Noah's presence. But he barely reacted at all when he was with charli. He felt so disappointed in himself. Then he frowned, and thought to himself, "What is wrong with me? I thought I could change." A tear started to fall down his face.

Then, Noah noticed that Chase was crying. He scooted a little closer to him, and asked, "you okay?" Chase shook his head, and said, "Not really." Noah wiped a tear from Chase's face, and said, "You can talk to me about it." Chase sighed, as he looked at the sky. Then, he said, "It's complicated. I want to follow my heart, and do what I feel is right. But I don't know what is right or wrong anymore. I should be doing the right thing, but it feels wrong. I keep doing the wrong things, but it feels right. My mind and my heart are at war right now, and I don't know which side to choose."

Noah looked at Chase, and thought for a moment. Then, he told chase, "I get it. Life is so complicated.  Everyone has their own ideas of what is good or bad, but it's never that simple. It's not just black and white. There's always grey areas in between. Maybe I can help, what's making you feel this way?" Chase wiped his tears, and looked at Noah. He took a deep breath, and said, "It's you."
