Noah laid in his mattress, looking up at the ceiling, thinking about what just happened. He thought to himself, "Why did chase almost jump off a balcony into a pool, just so he wouldn't have to tell dixie about some concert tickets?" He knew that couldn't have been what chase was hiding. He wondered, "Did it have something to do with our little secret, or was it about something else?" Those thoughts kept appearing in his mind, but he tried to ignore them by going to sleep.

Meanwhile, downstairs, chase couldn't sleep either. He was still shaking in fear for what happened earlier. He tried to sleep, but he kept getting traumatic flashbacks in his mind. He couldn't stop thinking about how close he was to jumping off that balcony, just for a stupid dare. He thought to himself, "All for what, to keep a secret? I really hope Noah knows just how much I've done to keep this damn secret from everyone."

It was already midnight, and Noah still couldn't sleep. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep unless he knew what truly happened with Chase. He whispered to himself, "Should I go to check on him? I wonder if he's even awake." Then he thought about how risky it could be. It would be extremely suspicious if he got caught talking to chase in the middle of the night. He would have to be as quiet as possible.

He slowly tiptoed his way to the door. The gently opened the doorknob, twisting it as slowly as possible. He quietly made his way through the upstairs hallway. All the other sway boys were sleeping in the rooms nearby. He had to be careful. Then, he made his way down the stairs.

Chase could hear some very faint noises. He thought it was just his mind messing around with him. He was so tired. But, every time his eyes closed, he would see the balcony in his mind. He preferred to keep his eyes open and deal with noises than to sleep with nightmares. The noises kept getting closer, and he was starting to get scared. He hugged the closest couch pillow tightly. He wanted to make sure the noises were in his head or not.

Chase looked around on one side, and nothing was there. Then he looked on the other side and saw a big shadowy figure right in front of him. He was about to scream, but the figure covered his mouth, and said, "Shhhhh you're gonna wake them up." Then chase's eyes started to see the mysterious figure clearly. It was Noah. He moved Noah's hand away from his mouth, and whispered, "Dude, you scared the living crap out of me. What are you doing here?"
Noah apologized for scaring him, then whispered, "I need to talk to you. But we can't talk in here. follow me."

Chase followed Noah into the nearest exit. Noah cautiously opened the door, and they quietly snuck outside. It was the door to Sway's outdoor gym. Chase was confused, and asked, "Is this a gym? Why would you take me here?" Noah rolled his eyes, and said, "So they can't hear us, obviously. What happened with you and that truth or dare dixie gave you? I could tell you were really nervous." Chase took a deep breath, then said, "It's a long story."

They both sat down at a white bench nearby. Chase let his emotions out, saying, "Dixie almost caught me. I was thinking about... what happened between us and I said something out loud. She was behind me, I didn't know she was there. She asked me what I was talking about so I made up a lie about giving charli a gift. She wouldn't stop bothering me about it, so I just kept telling her that it was a surprise. I thought that would be the end of it, but then truth or dare happened. I didn't know what else to do."

The memories came back with full force, and tears began to fall down his eyes. His voice began to tremble, as he said, "I almost jumped out of a balcony. When I looked over to see the pool, I almost fainted. I didn't want to tell anyone what actually happened, especially dixie because she could tell charli. So I made up another lie to get out of doing the dare."

Chase wiped his tears as he looked at the sky. Noah didn't know what to say to make him feel better. But he couldn't just leave him like this. He put his hand on Chase's shoulder, and said, "That was so messed up of her to do that to you. I'm sorry you had to go through so much just to keep our secret. If there's any way I could make it up to you, I would."

Chase was love-struck. He felt goosebumps when Noah touched his shoulders. And his words were so refreshing to hear. He felt his heart vibrating. He looked at him for a few seconds, not saying a thing. All chase wanted to do was spend more time with him. Without second thought, he asked, "Will you go out with me tomorrow?"

Noah started to blush immensely, as his eyes opened wide. He felt a strange emotion. A feeling he only felt when a girl he liked talked to him. He could feel the heat building up on his face. He asked, "W-what do you mean by that?"

Then Chase realized the words that came out of his mouth. He tried to play it off by saying, "just to hang out... as friends of course. You said you wanted to make it up to me, well, this is what I want." He chuckled nervously, awaiting for Noah's response.

Noah thought for a moment, then said, "Fine. But we have to keep that a secret too." Chase smiled, then said, "okay give me your number and I'll text you the details tomorrow." They exchanged numbers, and snuck back into the house. Noah went back to his room, and chase went back to the couch.

When Chase laid down on the couch, he looked at his phone and realized what time it was. He could see the sun slowly rise through a nearby window. He thought about what just happened with Noah and began to smile uncontrollably. He looked at the sunrise with hope. He thought to himself, " With the traumatic day I had yesterday, I could use a day of fun."
