A Little White Lie

[Sorry for the really long break, but I'm back and ready to make content for you guys!]

Chase wakes up with a smile on his face, remembering what happened the day before. He finally got to kiss Noah again. Even though he still had a lot to deal with, he was happy. All he wanted to do was lay in bed all day and daydream. He grabs his phone from the counter and checks his socials. He goes on Instagram and scrolls through his feed. Coincidentally, he finds Noah Beck's account on "suggested accounts", and decides to follow him. He thought to himself, "There's nothing suspicious about following him. I might as well see what he posts." He grinned, hoping to find some attractive pictures of him. But while he was scrolling through Noah's account, he found a post of him posing with the other sway boys. Including Josh Richards.

Chase feels bad for not being able to hang out with Josh and Jaden yesterday. He always hangs out with Josh. They're practically best friends. He felt awful for having to lie to him about what he was doing yesterday. He thought to himself, "I don't want to keep lying to him, but I don't know what else to do. If the secret gets out, it'll ruin me. And it will probably ruin Noah's life too. It sucks having to keep this from Josh, but it's for the better."

Chase wanted to make it up to him. So, he decided to text Josh and Jaden to see if they wanted to hang out. He texted them, "Hey, do y'all wanna hang out at hype today?"

Meanwhile Chase waited for a reply, he went downstairs to get a snack. He finds Charli in the kitchen baking some pastries. Charli sees him and says, "Hey baby, how did you sleep?" Chase responds "Good. How about you?" She replies, "Good! I made us some lemon flavored scones, you want some?" Chase takes a scone and takes a bite. Chase's eyes opened wide, as he says, "Mmmm, This is so good! How do you always make the best dessert?" Charli smiles and playfully says, "It's a secret!"

Then, Chase receives a noisy notification from his phone. He grabs his phone from his pocket to see who it is. Charli asks him, "Who is it?" Chase checks the message and says, "Oh, it's just Josh and Jaden I asked them if they wanted to hang out here at hype today. Looks like they're on their way." Then Charli says, "Didn't you go to a hockey game with them yesterday?" Chase gets confused, but then remembers their conversation on the phone yesterday while he was with Noah. Chase quickly replies, "Yeahhhh... but it was just SO fun yesterday that we decided to hang out again today!" Charli responds "Oh, okay! I should make them some pastries before they get here. How about... cupcakes?" Chase nods in agreement and says, "Sounds delicious. I can help you make them if you want?" Charli then smiles and says, "Awww you'd do that for me?" Then chase replies "Of course, the more help the better."

So, they made the cupcakes together, and got them out of the oven. Then, they heard the doorbell ring. Chase says, "I'll get it!", and speed-walks to the door. He opens the door, and sees Josh and Jaden. Josh and Jaden shout in unison, "Ayeeee" and Chase says it back as they hug and pat eachother on the back. Chase takes them to the kitchen, and Charli says "Hey guys! You're just in time, the cupcakes are ready." The boys rejoice as they take a cupcake. Chase says, "Let's go play video games in my rooms after we're done." Josh enthusiastically replies, "Bet!" As they ate their cupcakes, Charli tries to make small talk with them. She asks them, "So how was to hockey game you guys went to yesterday? Chase told me that it was really fun." Josh and Jaden look at eachother confused. Josh replies, "It was good... but Chase didn't come with us." Then Charli looks at Chase in confusion. Chase was completely shocked, he felt his heart drop. His mind froze. He didn't know what he could possibly say to cover it up. What he thought was a little white lie turned out to be more. And, now he was put in a position where he would have to come up with a VERY good excuse to cover it up.
