Lies Come Back to Bite

As soon as Josh, Jaden, Dixie, and charli left the house, Chase had an idea pop into his head. He thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the fact that all his friends were elsewhere, and go on another date with Noah. He quickly grabbed his phone, and texted Noah: "Call me when you can." Chase didn't want to send anything risky or flirty through text because messages are more permanent than calls. If someone just happened to be next to Noah when receiving a flirty message from him, the secret would be out. So, he kept his message plain and simple as a precaution. He sent the message, and waited for a response. While he waited, he went to the hype house gym room. He smiled, remembering  the day he first saw Noah.

    Meanwhile, Josh and everyone else arrived at the Sway House. Noah was in his room filming tiktoks when he got the message from Chase. He opened the message, and decided it would be a good idea to go outside before calling Chase. Calling from inside the house would be dangerous, because someone could overhear the conversation. So he walked out of his room, and down the stairs, to make his way outside.
  
But before he could reach his destination, he saw Dixie and Charli in the living room sitting on the couch. Bryce, Josh, & Griffin were with them. It would be rude to go outside without saying hello, so he awkwardly waved to them while he made his way to the front door.  But just when he put his hands on the door handle, Bryce said "Where are you going bro?" Noah nervously replied, "I was just gonna go for a walk." Then Bryce responded "C'mon dude chill with us, just for a bit. You can take a walk later." Noah didn't want to be rude, so he reluctantly made his way back to the living room and sat down with them.

     Then, Bryce said "Guys, I want to throw a huge party in a few weeks. and I mean HUGE. I want it to be the biggest party of the year." Everyone was excited.  Josh asked Bryce, "Do you know when it's gonna happen yet?" Then Bryce replied, "I don't have an exact date, I just know it's going to happen within the next few months. Then, charli said "I hope it's not the same day as the concert I'm going to with Chase." Then Bryce replied "Oh cool, when is the concert?" Then Charli said "Actually he hasn't told me the date yet... but either way I'm super excited for it." Noah quickly took notice of Charli's comment. Noah knew the truth about the "surprise concert". He remembered that Chase told him it was a lie to cover up their secret. So he was confused as to why charli was talking about it. He thought to himself "I guess he actually did end up buying those tickets..." Overcome with jealousy, he quickly said "Sorry guys I gotta go" and went out the door.

As soon as he was a good distance away from the house, he dialed Chase. Chase quickly answered and said "Heyyyy Noah what's up." Noah replied "Hey, so why did you want me to call you?" Chase responded "Well all my friends are gone for the day so I thought it was the perfect excuse for us to sneak out." Noah replied "Yeah, sounds good. Charli and Dixie are at Sway right now. Charli keeps talking about that suprise concert you are going to take her to..." Chase's heart dropped. He didn't know that charli knew about the concert. Chase was in a state of shock. Chase started panicking and rambling and said "I-i did make it up. I never told her about it. How did she find out??? DID SOMEONE TELL HER? OH MY GOD. I DIDN'T BUY ANY TICKETS, I THOUGHT EVERYONE WHO KNEW ABOUT IT WOULD FORGET EVENTUALLY.  IF I DON'T GET HER THOSE TICKETS, I'M GOING TO BE IN TROUBLE."

    Noah could clearly tell that Chase was in a state of panic and that he needed emotional support. He told chase "It's gonna be okay. Pick me up, we can figure something out." Eventually, Chase parked a block away and Noah got into his car. Noah looked at Chase and saw that he was still panicking. Chase said "I don't know what I'm going to do, Noah. I Every lie I make just comes back to bite me eventually. I'm screwed." Chase's hands started to shake uncontrollably, he was as scared as ever. Noah grabbed Chase's hands to comfort him, and said "Hey. It's going to be okay." Chase felt Noah's hands against his, and it made him calm. He looked at Noah and took some deep breaths, focusing on the touch of his hand. Then chase smiled and said, "Thanks, Noah. I really appreciate you. You're so understanding. Despite all the craziness, seeing you makes it all worth it." Noah, touched by chase said, smiles and holds his hand a little tighter. Noah then replied, "So, what's the plan for today?"
