Morning Getaway

The night was over, and the sun appeared. Chase didn't get any sleep. The sun already rised, and people were bound to wake up soon. Regardless, he tried to take a nap.

Noah didn't sleep much either. He could only think about what just happened. He had a million thoughts bursting into his head. He thought to himself, "Why does he want to hang out with me?" He felt something strange, yet amazing, when Chase asked him to hang out. He was starting to feel something more, but he wasn't sure what it was. He didn't want to jump to conclusions, so he stopped thinking about it and tried to sleep.

It was now officially the morning, the sun was bright and the sky was blue. Chase, in light sleep, could hear footsteps approaching. He opened his eyes to see to Josh in front of him, trying to scare him. Chase flinched, and screamed "DUDE, WHAT THE HELL!?" Josh started to laugh hysterically, then asked sarcastically, "Aww did I scare you?" Chase laughed and shook his head, as he said, "I'll get you back someday."

      Then, Josh went to the kitchen to get some cereal. While he was gone, Chase took the opportunity to text Noah about the getaway plan. He sent to him, "Hey, it's chase. I got a plan to sneak out. I'm going back to hype with dixie then I'm gonna say I forgot something so I can drive back. I'll wait a block away, so they won't see me. And you can meet me there." As soon as he sent that message, he quickly put his phone back in his pocket to avoid suspicion.

         The notification woke Noah up from his short nap. He groaned as the rubbed his eyes. He reached out for his phone, and whispered angrily to himself, "who could possibly text me this early in the day?" He opened his phone and saw the message. He texted back, "Okay, sounds good." He had to think about what kind of excuse he was going to tell the sway boys. He got out of his mattress, and walked around his room as he started to think.

        Meanwhile downstairs, Josh came back to the living room holding two bowls of cereal. One for him, and one for Chase. Chase thanked him, as he grabbed one of the bowls. Josh turned on the TV, and put on the sports channel. As they were eating, Josh asked Chase, "So what are you gonna do today?" Chase replied, "Nothing much, just got some stuff to do at the hype house. Why?" Josh responded, "Jaden and I are going to watch a hockey game today. Do you wanna come?" Chase looked down at his own feet, not knowing what to say. Then, he vaguely said, "I don't think so, man. I'm gonna be busy, sorry." Josh frowned, and replied, "Oh, it's okay."

     While they were watching TV, various footsteps were coming from the stairs. It was Nessa, Griffin, and Dixie. Nessa sat down next to her boyfriend, and gave him a hug with a kiss, as she said good morning to him. While she was hugging Josh, she gave chase a seductive stare. Chase looked away, not wanting to think the worst. Griffin and Dixie made their way to another couch nearby. Then, Dixie told chase, "Hey can we leave soon? I gotta go back to hype." Chase nodded in agreement.

     While Chase and Dixie were getting ready to leave, Noah made his way downstairs. Him and Chase briefly made eye contact, and he immediately looked away while blushing. Noah asked Griffin, "Hey where's Bryce, Jaden, and Blake?" Griffin chuckled and replied, "Bryce always wakes up super late, bro. C'mon you should've noticed that by now." Noah was planning to tell Bryce that he was going somewhere. It would make the most sense to tell Bryce, since he was the leader of sway. He already thought of the perfect excuse to leave for the day. He would have to tell them he got a business opportunity. "It's a big thing in LA, I'm sure they'll get it," he thought to himself. Then he received a message from Chase, that said, "I'll text you when I come back."

        Chase and Dixie made their way out of sway, and into the car. They put on their seatbelts and Chase started to drive back home.  The car ride was completely silent the entire way. Chase was too focused on his driving, and thinking about what happened last night between him and Noah. Dixie didn't try to make conversation either. After a while, they arrived at the hype house. Dixie opened the car door, and began to walk to the house. But when she realized Chase wasn't getting out of the car, she shouted, "Aren't you coming in!?" Then, Chase pretended to look for something in the car. He responded, "I think I forgot something at Sway, I'm gonna go back and get it." Dixie said "okay" and went inside the house.

        Meanwhile at Sway, Noah was in the living room with everyone else who was awake. Jaden and Blake had woken up at that point too. They were all in the living room watching TV. Then, after a while, Bryce made his way down the stairs. Griffin and some of the other sway boys started to clap and shout when they saw him. Griffin shouted, "He's finally awake!" Bryce rolled his eyes and laughed. Then, Noah heard a notification from his phone. He opened it, it was Chase. He was already here. Noah approached Bryce and said "Hey, I just got a business opportunity so I won't be here for a few hours. Just wanted to let you know." Bryce gave him a strong pat on the back, and said, "Good for you, dude! Do you need a car?" Noah shook his head, and said, "No, it's okay. I think they sent someone to pick me up." Bryce nodded and put his attention back on the TV. Then Noah quickly grabbed his shoes and went out the door.

     Noah looked in both directions to see if he could spot Chase's car. He saw it, and started to walk to it. He could feel his palms sweating. He was sneaking out for the first time in his life. But that wasn't the only reason he was nervous. He put his hands in his pocket, not trying to think about what might happen. As he was getting closer to the car, he could feel his heartbeat getting faster. He thought to himself, "Why am I feeling so weird? Is it because I'm gonna hang out with Chase? I've only felt this way with girls I've liked. Does that mean..." And, before he could finish his thought, he was already in front of the car. He took a deep breath, and went inside.

They made their morning getaway, but the day had just begun.
