A/N no need for trigger warnings, just some wholesome fluff

It has been a few days since Loki arrived at the tower and you were still the only one, besides Thor, that really talked to him - or acknowledged that he was there as a matter of fact. Even though your conversations mostly consisted of small talk, it was better than nothing, right?

It was a normal morning, the whole team except for Clint who was visiting his family, was sat at the breakfast table.

„Could you pass me the butter?" Steve asked looking at Loki. That was the first time he actually spoke to him, as far as you knew.

Without so much as blinking, Loki actually did what he was asked. You didn't really know what to think about it, or if you should think anything about it at all, but to you it seemed like the first step. The first step of a long way - but progress was progress.

You all finished eating sometime later. The others left to do who knows what, which left you to do the dishes - like always - but you didn't complain. You lived here for free, ate and slept here, so the least you could do was clean some dishes.

You almost didn't realize that Loki walked into the kitchen again since his steps were near silent.

„Why were you staring at me?" - Now that was something you didn't expect.

„What? When?" You asked, continuing to load the dishwasher.

„When Captain USA asked me to pass him the butter"

„I'm sorry if it seemed like I was staring, I was just-"

„Don't try to lie to the God of Mischief"

„Okay so what if I was staring? I mean the others barely even looked at you before and now Steve, or Captain America by the way, not USA, was actually talking to you" - You were rambling, oh god, you were nervous. Why were you even nervous? And did you really just say that? Dear lord have mercy-

„Interesting" With that Loki left.

-

It was a few days later now, you didn't have any other weird moments with Loki, but for some reason your mind ever so often wandered off to him. To his face, his beautiful blue eyes and - wait no. No no no no. You couldn't think like that. What the hell?

You decided to skip breakfast and go for a run to get a clear head. You ran for a few minutes, not being able to run for long, since you started working out only like 4 months ago. But you ran until you were so out of breath that you almost had to crawl back to the tower. When you got there, you took a quick shower, before you went to your closet to grab some clothes.

„Why weren't you at breakfast today?"

You swore the scream that left your mouth could have been heard all the way to the moon. You spun around and saw Loki standing in your room. You raised a hand to your heart, making sure it still beat, while you sat down on your bed. Right, Tony dulled his powers - he didn't get rid of them, meaning that Loki could still teleport small distances.

„What the actual fuck, Loki?? You can't just teleport in someone's room like that. You scared the crap out of me" Why were you so out of breath? Good lord, you can't remember the last time you -

„Why weren't you at breakfast?" Loki said again, his features not giving any clue about what he was feeling. His face was cold, but there was a lot of emotion in his eyes. You weren't able to make out even one of them though.

„Give me a second for my heart to start beating again, would you?"

„I'm pretty sure it still is, otherwise you would probably-"

„I know, I know. It's just a saying.." You stood up from your spot on the bed. Only then realizing that you were only wearing sweatpants and a sports bra. You quickly pulled a hoodie over your head before turning to look at Loki.

„I wasn't hungry" You were standing right in front of him, if you dared to stretch out your arm a little you would be able to touch his broad looking chest. Yes he was still a little thin and could use some weight, but that didn't change the fact that he was well build - making him really damn attractive, if you may add.

„Oh" And with that Loki left. Again - such a weird encounter. What was up with that? Or rather, what was up with him?

-

In the next month you and Loki became what you would call friends. You started to talk a lot, having the same interests - books and annoying the rest of the team - and before you knew it you fell head over heels for that man. You were in deep, deep shit. You knew that.

Loki and you were sitting in the private library of the Avenger's Tower, reading.
You were sharing one of the couches in the middle of the shelves, while you were sitting at one end and Loki at the other. You let your eyes drift over to him. He was sitting with his legs outstretched in front of him, one foot crossed over the other. The book he was reading was placed in his hands which laid on his lab. You couldn't make out the title of the book, but you were pretty sure it was "Romeo and Juliet". You let your eyes wander further up, over his arms, which had become a healthier size, and back to his hands. That man had the prettiest hands you had ever seen - before you saw his hands, you didn't even know hands could be pretty. Your eyes drifted over his chest that was rising and falling steadily while he was concentrated. Your eyes glid up to his throat, which wobbled as he swallowed. It was only when your eyes drifted over his sharp jaw up to his beautiful eyes when you realized that Loki was staring right back at you.

You coughed and looked away as fast as you could, excused yourself and went to leave the room, when you bumped into someone. No, not someone, him.

„Where do you think you're going?"

You took a step back and tilted your head to look up at him.

„I'm sorry- I shouldn't have-"

Before you could finish that sentence Lokis lips touched your own.
