A/N this is somewhat similiar to the oneshot I posted before this, but I had to make a Loki version hehe

trigger warning: scars, wounds

"Love, you have to stay still. I don't want to hurt you," your fiancé Loki spoke to you.

"I know, it's just-"

"No," Loki simply said and wrapped another layer of bandages off of your wound. You had been hurt rather badly on the last mission - a stab wound on your stomach that was a good few inches long. It didn't hurt that bad anymore, considering that it was over a week ago and you were healing fast, but the scar the wound will leave made you feel uneasy. Loki always called you his beautiful posession, but what was a beautiful posession with an ugly scar bigger than a hand? It was stupid, but you were growing insecure. You found it ugly and it did make you somewhat sad.

You grabbed Loki's hands before he could lift the last layer of bandages. "Did I hurt you?" Loki panicked.

"No, no." You reassured him. You lifted your gaze to look into his still panicking eyes. You fidgeted with his hands in yours, not knowing how to tell Loki how you were feeling.
The hospital bed you were sitting on was the perfect height to be at eye level with your fiancé, while you were sitting on it and he was standing in front of you. He was still waiting for you to explain, so you quickly made an excuse to brush it off, not wanting to sound stupid. He was a literal god, while you, a mere human, was bothered by a scar. How ridiculous.

"It's nothing. Just- I can do this on my own." You forced a smile and made a move to stand up from your spot, but Loki wouldn't let you.

"Tell me," Loki wasn't buying anything of what you just said.

"It's stupid, forget it." You reassured him, giving him your best smile.

"Y/N" - Loki never called you by your name. He always had some kind of nickname for you; let it be love, darling or pet. Calling you by your name meant that he wasn't letting this drop as easily as you'd hoped.

"I don't like it," you mumbled. You figured that you would have to tell him eventually so you hoped he would understand. Yes, Loki was loving and you knew he would do anything for you - he had proven that more than once in your relationship - but he was still an Asgardian. He was still the God of Mischief.

"What are you talking about, darling?" Loki was getting impatient, you could feel that by the way he spoke now. He was trying to push you to talk, not wanting you to beat around the bush.

"The scar. I hate it already. It's stupid but it's ugly and it's really bothering me." You searched his eyes for whatever emotion he was feeling. There was anger, but not towards you, desperation of some kind and ... there was understanding.

"Darling.." His eyes held such pure love. Love for you.

"This scar changes nothing in the way I see you. If anything, it makes you look stronger. You survived this, darling. You fought against death and you won." Loki grabbed your face gently. "This scar doesn't change the fact that you are the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. The most attractive person I know. You look ravishing, love. You always will."

Hearing those words almost made you cry. Loki wasn't the person for holding speeches, but if he did, they never failed to cheer you up.

"I love you, and you are beautiful-" Loki grabbed your hips and pulled you towards him, so that you were sitting at the edge of the bed now. "And you look absolutely stunning the way you are presented to me right now. Like dinner on a platter." - Only leggings and a sportsbra as well as one thin layer of bandages was covering your body - Loki smirked, making your heart flutter.

"I love you too, my king," You smirked back, leaning in to kiss him.
