Living with the Avengers was a lot of fun. A lot of stress as well, considering always being on edge and ready for missions, but a lot of fun too. Teaching Thor, Steve and Bucky to play video games, Tony's parties and training were your life and you were pretty happy with that. The happiest you ever felt.

"Y/N!"

You were strolling through a hallway on your way to the lounge room when you heard someone call your name. You turned on your heels, seeing Bucky running up to you.

"Hey you" You smiled at him, as he came to a halt in front of you.

"What are you up to?" You two began walking next to each other.

"I was just going to see if anyone was up for some games. I mean, it's been quiet the whole day, I was hoping we could have a family night or something" You smiled at him again, having to tilt your head upwards to look at his face.

"Sounds like a plan" Bucky smiled down at you. You fell in love with that smile the moment you saw it, but you never made a move for it. It's not that you didn't think he would feel the same, maybe he would, but you didn't think it would be the best idea to start something with a team member. But then again, why would it be so bad? You were unsure, to say the least, but that wasn't something to think about right now. You would have a family night with all your friends - you could think about your love life another time.

".. so what do you say?"

"Huh? Sorry, what did you say? I-I kinda got lost in my thoughts.." You felt your cheeks heat up.

"I asked if you want to go for a walk first?" Bucky smiled at down you.

"Oh, sure! I'd love to"

You and Bucky had been walking around the property compoud for a while now with comfortable silence and some small talk here and there, when he stopped and looked up at the sky.

"You okay there?" You stepped next to him and looked at the clouds as well.

"Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed?"

You looked at Bucky at the sudden deeper topic.

"Of course I do. I-I mean I it's life we're talking about.. if it's anything life is overwhelming.." - or living with the greatest heroes of all time and having to live up to thousands of expectations is.

"I do too" Bucky mumbled, barely audible. He looked down at you, a serious expression covering his features.

"And that's okay, Buck. We all do, I promise" You took his hand in yours. He never talks about stuff this deep to you, never opened up to anyone besides Steve as far as you know, so this was new - but you wanted to make him feel comfortable and understood.

"I-I'm sory, it's just that everything seems so easy for all of you, while for me everything is - well a struggle" Bucky looked away from you at that.

"Believe me Buck, not everything is easy, but that's okay. Hey look at me" You grabbed his face gently and made him look at you.

"Tell me about what exactly makes you feel overwhelmed, maybe I can help" You tried to give him your best reassuring smile.

"I-I don't know where to even start" Bucky took a pause to think about his next words "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but even getting up in the morning seems undoable sometimes.."

"Buck you have been through so much, it's completely fine for you to feel that way. Life can be a pain in the ass sometimes but I promise it's worth it"
If you wouldn't be experiencing this moment with Bucky right now, you would have never thought it possible that Bucky talks so openly about his feeling. You were glad he did though. Glad that he came to you to talk.

"How about we change getting up in the morning" You came up with an idea.

"What do you mean?" You have never seen Bucky so - broken. It hurt your heart to see him like this. Being overwhelmed and seeming to not be able to cope with anything right now.

"How about instead of making it a task, we make it a good thing? What's something you really like?"

"I-I don't know.."

You knew he wasn't telling the truth, but you decided not to push it.

"Well, I really like Y/F/F. How about I make that for breakfast tomorrow? That way you have something to look forward to, when you think about getting out of bed" You gave him the biggest smile you managed and grabbed his hands.

"That would be great" Bucky smiled down at you - this time the smile actually met his eyes.
