O Lord of Eternal Darkness
may you bless this seeker of your glories
help her run past the blood and gore.
may this night be the witness of my devotion for you,
O Lord of Eternal Darkness
may you bless this maiden with the eyes of the owl
that she may cross the hoary claws of Death.
may this night be the witness of my loyalty towards you,
O Lord of Eternal Darkness
may you gift this magician with the patience of Nyx
that she may know which path to tread on.
may this night be the witness of my friendship with you,
O Lord of Eternal Darkness
may the whole world know how you care for me
and with your merciful hands guide me outside this maze.
i pay my respect
i touch your omnipresent feet
i take in the fragrance of your wildflowers
happily embracing the darkness around.
now as I accept your presence
acknowledge your divinity
gather for me a thousand fiery fireflies,
like the sparks of fire,
and give me vision.
now as I accept your presence
acknowledge your divinity
gather for me a thousand sharp crystals,
like the broken edges of a sword ancient,
and give me your strength.
now as I accept your presence
acknowledge your divinity
gather for me moist drops of Ishtar's rain,
like the tears of Rudrani,
and provide me tickling coolness.
O Lord of Eternal Darkness
in this maze I am caught
only you can free me
from the clutches of cruel monsters
and the mayhem of this abyss.
O Lord of Eternal Darkness
if you be pleased
be my companion, protector and guide
take my hand in yours
may I reach home with your blessings.
