I remember your warm embrace,
Your touch still teases to come back in memories
I can listen to your voice in my nightmares,
Where I see the day you left me
Or rather, did I leave you?

I remember their stares
Looking at us with disgust
Tearing up my soul apart.
Such polarities like us uniting,
Must be a taboo to the society.

I remember how you said it will be difficult
Holding hands and tying strings to our hopes,
Weaving a future together when pebbles fly at us,
Now,I think of the bruises they gave
My lips tasting the chalice of intoxication.

I remember how I promised to be yours
Not caring about the oppositions
But alas, I risked our lives
Too reckless a decision I took
And now, we are far away, miles apart.

I remember still, how you consoled me
Crystals fall from my mirrors as I think of your smile, so assuring
"We must not give up easily..."
Did I forget your words so soon?
Did I break the promises so soon?

I remember your words, I will get up with my hurts
I will carry them on my back, throw them to the infinite sea
Waves of hope crashing to slay all sorrows
I will not give up on you, like you never did
My heart remembers you, my true love.

I remember your words, I will get up with my hurtsI will carry them on my back, throw them to the infinite seaWaves of hope crashing to slay all sorrowsI will not give up on you, like you never didMy heart remembers you, my true love
