Under the sun I lie down, bathing in the sands
Sprinkling the dust of nature's flaxen
On my darkened body.

I see the sun drowning in the ocean
The moon rising above, looking down at the diving dwarf
And I remember my own darkness rising.

Yearning for company, my soul was left alone,
On the road to fulfilment.
I still, walk without a sun beside me, the stars shining hope on me.

The night as dark and misunderstood as me,
Yet so beautiful. Alas, people sleep when
I am awake, staring at the galaxies.

I count the lives I still have to live
The moments I still have to experience
"Beyond, there in the horizon, behold," the stars say
And I see the dawn arriving.

I count the lives I still have to liveThe moments I still have to experience"Beyond, there in the horizon, behold," the stars sayAnd I see the dawn arriving
