        CAN YOU SEE THROUGH ME? 

        “Are you still thinking about that?” Kai nodded hard that his fluffy hair fell on his doe eyes. Fox giggled at him and combed his hair back. She put her hands around him and said, “You did well it’s just that Nolan is tricky..” “Really?” He asked widening his yellow eyes, His eyes were glowing as tears were filled and about to flow down. “Aishh. You remind me of someone so much..” She said wiping his tears. They both walked fast through those dark woods with rest of the group following them.

        “Are those real?” Wolf pulled back as Veronica was about to touch those sharp teeth of his. “Of course it’s real, Fox has it too.” “Yeah I saw..” She just smiled at him and waited for him to say something. “...You really don’t speak do you..It’s okay I can talk.” “I- Well the thing is-” “Your ear is red are you hurt?” “No..no I’m not hurt.” Wolf caught her hand as she was about to check on his ears. “You are very nice Veronica..” “I know, Ezra says you are colder than ice but I think you are barely ice cream.” They both just blinked blankly at each other for sometime until Veronica looked at her arm which was still held by Wolf, “Oh- I’m so sorry..” “It’s okay..” She smiled again. “What kind of comparison is that an ice cream?” Veronica just shrugged it off.

       Derek was sitting on the balcony staring at the crescent moon, mumbling something “What are you mumbling about?” “Oh my God ADAM!! were you a ninja in previous life for God’s sake stop jumping out of nowhere!!” “I’m sorry Okay..You still didn’t answer my question...” “NoThing!” “What’s with the grumpy nothing..?” “I’m not mumbling anything..” Adam gave Derek the face of suspicion. “Fine..You seeing that 10 year old boy-” “He going to turn 16 soon.” “Whatever..just hear me out..” “I don’t have to cause I know what Kitsune means..It means Fox” “You knew?” “I was raised by an Asian minister what do you expect?” “Was it that obvious that I like her.” Adam stared right through his soul and nodded. “Oh my little Derek..” “Oh my god brother I’m older than you..” “You still act like a kid though.” “Never mind continue.” “She don’t like Kai...He is just a kid and I heard her saying he reminded her of someone...” Derek got up instantly. “What happened Derek?” “I got my answer..” “What..?” Adam could see Derek’s side profile as he was still staring at the moon, His sharp eyes suddenly narrowed towards Adam. Only his eyes. Adam could see a wide grin on his face, Derek looked back at the moon but he still had the grin on his face though. He walked back inside leaving Adam behind on the balcony.
Speechless. ADAM’S POV, “WAS THAT A GRIN OF HAPPINESS OR YOU WERE JUST COMPLAINING DEREK?”

   
          All were gathered in the dining room when Derek entered back. Florence was serving them snacks. The chairs seemed useless as Fox, Wolf and Rainier were sitting on the table and rest of them were standing. Adam entered and took a chair, So Derek just sat beside him. “God I love cookies...” “Me too” Derek and Adam were pretending like nothing ever happened as others didn’t even care. “Psst- Ced..” Veronica whispered to Rainier and he whispered back, “What?” “You want to sneak out?” “Sure..” It was a deal they both will sneak out after everyone will go to sleep. “Can I have one more cheese cake?” Ezra asked Florence, “No..You are gonna get you stomach upset come with me you devil.” Adam pulled Ezra with him to the balcony.

        “What is wrong with you..?” “You will hear me out first and I’ll buy you as many cheese cake as you want..” “Okay that’s a deal seems worth taking..” “What was Derek like when he was young?” “Umm..? He was like tall, Still those sharp eyes though, fluffy hair..it was pretty same as Arthur used to have..” “Arthur?” “Yes They both used to have the same hairstyle back then.” “By any chance Kai looks and acts like Derek at that age?” “No..never, Derek was playful and shy at that age unlike now. I think...Kai is like Arthur..exactly like Arthur..” Adam stopped breathing for sometime. Derek’s those narrowed look and grin pierced right through him. “Adam..? Why are you blacked out.” Ezra waved her hands in front of his eyes. “Come with me..” He again pulled her with him, By the time they reached the dining room he was gone. “Where did Derek go?” “He went out...why?” Wolf asked with a confused face. “Nothing we are going out too.” Adam and Ezra rushed out.

         “Do you want to join us for outing?” “What exactly did I do to deserve this punishment?” Wolf asked Veronica with his raised eyebrows. “Come on man come with us..” “Fine..” Wolf agreed when Rainier insisted. “You could have just agreed when I- Never mind.” Veronica showed off her plump smile and put arms around both of their shoulders, Let’s gooooo boys~” “...okay?” Both of let out a harmonised cry. “It’s just you and me now huh?” Fox asked seeing all of them leaving all at once forgetting both of them. “Let’s play weiqi then?” “Yes!” Kai went to his room to take the board game and returned quick as he was waiting his whole life for someone to play with.

        Adam and Ezra were wandering in the forest in the darkness in search of Derek, Suddenly voice of flute playing caught their attention. It was not that far. “DEREK!! DEREK!!” They both screamed their lungs out running around, The flute stopped but they kept on yelling his name. “....what?” A calm but annoyed tone replied in a low voice. Adam and Ezra looked around as they couldn’t see him anywhere. “Look up you morons..” There he was sitting on a tree branch, “Who’s Moron? Isn’t that my flute you moron..” Adam replied all annoyed. “Yes..But tell me why are you yelling my name in the mid of night in the forest?” “We were just searching for you..” “Don’t pity me Adam..I don’t like it and you didn’t expect me to just cry over Fox liking Arthur didn’t you cause I am not going to do that..” “Are you really okay with that?” “Of course both me and Fox are going to die alone as she love Arthur and he loves Agnes..Can I have this?” “What?” “The flute of course..” “Sure you look like some ancient god with that.” “Glad to hear.” They all laughed and decided to walk towards the beach.

          “Well here we are..” Wolf’s jaw dropped as they stopped in front of a Restaurant. He seriously hated crowded places, “I don’t think this a good idea..” “Don’t be silly this is perfect come on let’s go.” Said Veronica and led the way. They made themselves comfortable in a table and their food arrived soon too. “But we just ate..” Wolf raised his eyes from the plates just to see Rainier and Veronica eating like they have never eaten before. “Prince and Princess indeed.” Wolf took a small bite and his soul lit up. “This is good..How come I’ve never eaten this before..what is this?” He was eating fast enough to get a brain freeze “Ice cream..” Wolf chocked on his ice cream and looked up. He realised he finally achieved a new friend after a long time.

         “Ha!! I won again!” “It’s not fair..” Fox pouted at Kai. “Oh Noona (older sister) It’s so fair...Hmm I can’t afford that face let’s play The royal game of Ur..” “Okay!! You have lot of games..I’m so happy to play with you..” “I’ll be right back then.” He went fast like the last time, After a long game of half an hour the game ended. “Yay!! I won!!” “Congratulations Noona..” He showed of his dimple smile, “Aaaa You just let me win didn’t you?” “N- No... Why would I do that?” “You little devil..” Fox pinched his cheeks. “Aaa leave it Noona..” “COME AND SLEEP KIDS!!” “OKAY MOTHER!!” They both responded harmonizely to Regina.

        Three of them were sitting where waves can touch them, Staring at the moon. “So Ezra..” Ezra turned to Derek and he continued, “Who looks better? Me or Moon?” “Adam.” “Well that was honest.” Murmured Derek audible enough to the rest two made Adam let out a deep chuckle of his. “Waah Adam even you voice is deep as the ocean...” “Do you want something from me Derek?” “Actually yes can I borrow your clothes as I’m running out of them..” “Do you even have to ask?” Derek looked at Adam and he could see the Aura of a god in him now. “I find it fascinating..” The grin appeared on Derek’s face again as he continued, “That how you see right through peoples mind Adam..” His grin slowly faded and he looked back at the moon.
