Alyssa

"Drew!" The girl yells as he messes her up, walking into his apartment. Drew, not as intoxicated as Alyssa, laughs as he shuts the door and ensures it is locked.

"Come on, let's get you to bed," The boy says, placing his hand on her back, lightly guiding her to his bedroom.

"I'm not tireddd. Can we eat something?" She whines, to which Drew sighs.

"Okay fine, I'll make you something and then we're going to bed," he gives in, assuming she isn't going to let it go.

"Yes, sir," she salutes him, laughing as he chuckles and shakes his head in amusement. Drew walks out of the room towards the kitchen, followed by Alyssa.

As Drew searches through the fridge for something to make, Alyssa sits on a bar stool, watching his every move.

"I'm really thankful for you, Drew," She says in her drunken mess. He takes his gaze away from the fridge and locks eyes with the girl. He smiles and shakes his head.

"What, why because I'm making your food when you're drunk?" he jokes, trying to keep the conversation light.

"No, well yes, but for. I don't know, Drew, just thank you," Alyssa mumbles, regretting saying anything even though she is drunk out of her mind.

"No, come on, tell me what you mean," He says, now sincere, shutting the fridge and coming to stand by the girl. Alyssa refuses to look at him, though, which makes shim place his finger under her chin and lightly lift it, making her look him in the eyes.

"Tell me," Drew whispers looking into her eyes so deeply.

"You, I'm just thankful for you. It's like you made me feel alive again. In a way, I haven't for a long time," The girl finally replies, talking in a tone so quiet that if Drew wasn't nearly inches away from her, he might have missed it. He smiles at the girl and instantly hugs her. At that moment, there in his arms, she felt the safest she has in quite some time.

"Okay, now how about I make us some grilled cheese?" Drew suggests about a few seconds, letting go of the hug.

"Oooh yum," She says, smiling. As Drew cooks food for the two of them, Alyssa gets up and makes herself comfortable on the couch. As time moves forward, the drunkenness begins to wear off. She turns the T.V. and searches through Netflix for something to watch. She decides on Grey's Anatomy and picks a random episode.

"Do you want something to drink?" Drew asks from the kitchen. Alyssa turns around and smiles.

"Water, please," She says sweetly, to which Drew smiles and grabs two bottles out of the fridge. He carries everything over to the couch and sits down right next to the girl. He hands her a plate and bottle, and they both smile at each other.

"Grey's anatomy, really?" He groans.

"Hey, it's the best show ever. Don't knock it until you watch it from the beginning," She says, upset.

"Okay, you know what, fine. Starting tomorrow, that's what we'll do. Watch it from the beginning," He says seriously, which causes Alyssa to squeal in excitement.

"Okay, I'm turning it off now then, we'll start tomorrow," She says and turns on a random show. The two eat in peace and laugh once in a while at the show. Before Drew finishes eating, he hears soft snores coming from the girl next to him.

He looks down at her as her head is rested on his shoulder. He smiles and places his hand under her head, getting up as slowly as possible, shifting her head to be flat on the random pillow on the couch. Once he is safely up from the couch he grabs a blanket from the back of the couch and unfolds it, covering her up. He smiles softly at the girl with her hair all thrown around.

Drew quietly picks up the plates and bottles and takes care of everything quietly in the kitchen. He grabs another bottle of water from the fridge and goes to the bathroom to search for some headache medicine. He grabs a bottle and dumps a few into his hand, walking back out into the living room.

He sets the bottle of water and pills on the side table right by the girl, still snoring quietly. He grabs another throw blanket and stretches out as much as he can on his small reclining chair. Drew doesn't mind in the slightest, though, as long as Alyssa is safe.
