Chapter 28

alyssa's pov

9:03 am

The girl woke up to several alerts coming from her phone. She groans, opening her eyes checking her surroundings. after a few seconds, she recognizes Rudy's bedroom but sees no sign of him. She sighs, not remembering much of the events from last night. 

Grabbing her phone, she instantly sits up once she notices she is tagged on an updated Instagram account for the OBX cast.

dailyobx: Drew seen last night with some random girl at a club... this girl definitely isn't Alyssa. Maybe they're actually just friends after all. 

The girl instantly locks her phone as a tear slips down her face. She throws her phone across the room, causing it to hit the wall in front of her with a thud and touchdown on the ground. A few seconds after the outburst of sound, a knock on the door is heard from the girl.

"Lyss? You okay in there?" A concerned Rudy asks from outside of the door.

"Never freaking better," She says sarcastically, flying back in the bed as her head hits the pillow.

"Can I come in?" He asks quietly.

"Sure," She responds. She hears the door instantly open and makes eye contact with a sleepy-looking Rudy.

"Where did you sleep?" She asks as he comes and sits on the edge of the bed, causing her to sit up as well.

"Couch. What was that loud bang?" He asks casually.

"My phone." She replies.

"Oh." He says, not wanting to press any further.

"Drew went to some club last night." She says quietly after a few moments.

"I know. JD and Bailey went too." He responds, looking at her, concerned.

"There's a video of him making out with some random girl." She says, laughing bitterly.

"Oh, Lyss." He says, getting up to sit closer to her.

"It's whatever. We're just friends, right. I'm not his type anyways he made that clear yesterday." She replies bluntly. the last comment causes Rudy to turn his head in a confused manner.

"What do you mean he made it clear yesterday?" He asks genuinely confused.

The girl sighs and starts explaining everything to Rudy just as she had to Chase just last night. Not to her surprise the boy reacts in almost the same way and is angered as Chase was.

"it's fine Rudy." She says trying to calm him down.

"It's not what a douchebag move. I'm sorry he treated you like that. Alyssa you are absolutely stunning and if he isn't able to just see that then clearly he is the one in the wrong." He says, sitting next to the girl sincerely comforting her. 

Alyssa lays her head on his shoulder as she quietly lets a tear roll down her cheek. after a few comfortable minutes of silence Rudy speaks up.

"Want to go get breakfast somewhere? I'll text Chase the others are filming?" He asks hopeful to get Alyssa's mind off of Drew.

"Yes please I'm starving." She replies trying to convince herself that she's hungry.

"Okay lets say half hour? so we can all get ready?" He suggests to which she nods and gets out of bed looking for keycard.

"yeah you couldn't find your keycard last night when I went to walk you back to your room, hence why you're here." he says laughing as well as answering her original question. 

"Great, I'm going to head over to Chase and Clines room then and look for it, I think I had a purse last night," She replies and Rudy knods. 

Walking out of the hotel room the girl sends a quick text to Chase that she's coming over so he isn't shocked. Knocking on his door he instantly answered opening the door up to the girl.

"Good morning Stokes," the girl sings off as she walks through the entrance and begins looking for a purse familiar to her.

"Morning, are you looking for your keycard?" he asks, causing her to turn around and look at him. She smiles once she sees he is holding it in his fingers waving it around.

"Yay thank you." She says happily walking over to him to grab it.

"You coming to breakfast with Rudy and I?" She asks once he hands her the card.

"Yes I just need to shower and get ready," he replies as they both smile at each other.

"Same, going to my room now to shower see you in like thirty minutes." She replies, already walking out the door. 

As she turns around to leave she hears a door opening down the hall. Seeing it's too late to walk back into Chase's room she continues to walk towards her room. As she is walking down the hall she catches a quick glance of a blonde girl and a tall brunette. Instantly frowning she makes eye contact with the tall brunette. 

This causes both of them to stop in their tracks and just stare at each other. The sudden freeze of the boy behind her causes the blonde to turn around confused looking up towards the boy. This snaps the two out of their daze as the boy looks to the blonde.

"Oh hey Alyssa this is Sara. Sara this is one of my castmates Alyssa," He introduces me to the skinny blonde. I smile towards them and start to walk away.

"It was nice to meet you Sara! Bye Drew!" Alyssa puts on a fake smile and continues to walk down the hall to her room. As soon as she enters her room she locks her door and slides down it, instantly bursting into tears.
