Chapter 2

Her throat was dry from all the alcohol she guzzled down last night. When she got home she flopped onto her bed fully dressed before proceeding to blindly find her way to the bathroom to get ready for bed. It was when she was lying there the next morning she realised she had sex with Kian Madani in the toilets at Albies. Her heart started to race and her mind started to whir, she got up and headed into the kitchen taking some paracetamol and other necessary pills she needed before slotting two slices of bread in the toaster. The thought made her rush to the bathroom and chuck the contents of her empty stomach up and she knew today was going to be a long day. It was when she was brushing her teeth the thoughts of her sexual encounter last night filled her head, it made her flustered, uncomfortable as well as sending a pleasurable tingle down her spine, one that wasnt unnerving. Jac got changed and then headed into work, she got into her office without being seen and when she knew she would have to give some sort of welcome or at least show her face to Kian once more especially when Nicky knocked on the door telling her that Kian was there.

"Right let's get this over and done with" she mutters to herself as she walks to the nurse's station where Kian was chatting to Cameron "Mr Madani"

"Ms Naylor" he smirks and she raises her eyebrows warning him not to say anything "I was just getting myself acquainted with Cameron here"

"Very well" she muses heading over to the tray, she picks up patient folders and skims through them, separating them into three separate piles "Right, this one's yours McKendrick, Dr Dunn, and last but not least Mr Madani"

"And where are yours?"

"It's my paperwork day" she lies but raises her eyebrows to make it look convincing, Kian nods slowly not entirely convinced "Any problems I'm in my office, try not to disrupt too often though, Kian will be there to assist if there are any problems"

"Throwing me in at the deep end then?"

"Just do your job Madani" Jac rolls her eyes before walking off, she turns around once more "Right thats it, now go and do what you're paid to do"

"Is that it then?" Nicky questions blankly and Cameron sighs and nods watching as Jac enters her office

"Looks like it" Cameron states and smirks slightly looking at Nicky "We best get on before she starts cracking the whip"

"Don't worry children, we can do this, lets prove to Naylor that we can do what she demands" Kian says with a smirk determined to wind Jac up and run circles around her, Cameron and Nicky glance at each other before just going to their patients causing Kian to shake his head in response before doing the same

The working day was drawing to a close and with Kian speedily running through his electives Jac couldnt help but be impressed not that she would show it anyway. She had kept herself locked in her office all day and Kian knew better than to disturb her, he then realised she actually hadn't been out all day so he gently knocked on the door and she huffed in annoyance before biting her lip. It was the quick decision of two hours ago when she snuck out of her office to get a bag of fluids in an attempt to cure the effects of the killer hangover that she got yesterday when boozing with Kian. Quickly grabbing her jacket she held the bag between her legs and covered her lap with her jacket before allowing whoever it was to enter.

"Oh, it's you" she rolls her eyes merely unimpressed before picking up her pen "Electives all done?"

"Completed, even the bumped ones for emergencies"

"How did Nicky and Cameron get on?" she queries and Kian shrugs slightly "Thats really descriptive"
