"Hey Jo!" Called a voice from behind her, she turned around and saw John B and JJ sat in the van.
"Get in the van" John B said as she tilted her head and let out a laugh, "This feels like a kidnapping, but sure" she shrugged as she jumped into the van.
"Where are we going" she leaned forward against JJ's seat as she looked out.
"To Ms Lana's, we wanna ask her about the compass"
"Hm, cool okay" she nodded as she sat down in the back and took a sip of her slushie.
"I'm just saying, I don't understand why you don't at least try with Kiara." JJ spoke up as John b groaned, clearly not wanting to talk about that.
"She clearly likes you" Jo chimed in.
"She's like, Oh John B" JJ moaned, trying to imitate Kiara.
"Is that what she does?"
"She's sketching about you diving, then she kissed you."
"She kissed me on the cheek" John b dismissed as he rolled his eyes.
"That looked a little close to the mouth though, and you definitely blushed" Joanna laughed.
"I did not blush!"
"Oh you definitely did bro" JJ smirked as he propped his legs up.
"It's not like we were makin' out or something"
"Low-hanging fruit, bro. Don't pretend you don't notice." JJ went to grab the compass when John B immediately tried to grab it off him.
"Hey don't-"
"I was just looking at it." He held up the compass to inspect it, "I gotta admit, your father's compass in Scooter's boat, that's freaky."
"Yeah and that's why we're going to talk to Ms. Lana to figure this whole thing out." John b answered looking ahead at the road.
"I'm sure she would just love to talk to us, It's not like her husband drowned or anything" Jo said as she tied her hair up into a high ponytail.
When they arrived JJ opened the door for Jo and helped her out of the van.
"I have a bad feeling" Jo told them but JJ only rolled his eyes, "You always have a bad feeling, Jo" he smirked.
"And I'm almost always right when I do" she retorted as she followed John B.
"Know what this house looks like?" JJ questioned as they neared the pink house.
"Whoever lives here smokes too much weed" JJ laughed but their faces turned into worry as they heard glass shattering.
