Chapter Nineteen

The Pogues were on their way to try and find the Royal Merchant and most importantly the gold. Jo was constantly pushing her hair back as the wind blew it in all sorts of directions, she mentally cursed herself that she forgot a hair tie.

"All right, JJ. Pin it here" John B called out to his blond friend who was in control of the boat.

"Roger that! X marks the spot"

"All right, ladies and gentlemen. To going full kook" John B lowered the ROV into the water as Kie kept her grip on the tether.

"Alright JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest." Jo informed him as she stood beside John B.

"Got it! Ten seconds northwest."

"One hundred feet" Kiara spoke up as she grabbed some chalk and drew a line so she could keep track of how deep it was going.

Pope gasped as he looked at the monitor which made John B and Joanna jump over towards him.

"What? What, what, what, what?" John B rushed as he looked at the monitor but groaned as Pope just shook his head. "It's nothing. Sorry I thought-"

"Don't do that to me man!" JJ called.

The minutes went by slowly and the weather was getting worse. Jo had taken the bandana that John B had given her and used it as a makeshift hair tie.

"Four hundred feet" Kie said as she drew another line.

"The tides turning" Jo informed them as she looked down at the dark water.

"Hey JJ?" John B called.

"Yup?"

"Ten seconds easy. South-southeast alright"

"Copy that!"

Jo grew nervous as she saw how dark the sky had become in just so little time, thunder was heard every few seconds and Jo had to hold on to the edge so she wouldn't fall into the water.

"Oh my god why now?" Jo groaned, the thunder became louder and the boat became harder to control.

"Okay, 900!"

"JJ, we'll turtle in this storm man!"

"920!"

Jo rushed to help Kiara hold onto the tether, "We're gonna lose it!" Kie shouted over the harsh wind that was making her hair fly everywhere.

"960! 970"

The boys were looking at the monitor as the tether became less and less. "980!"

"I'm at the bottom! I'm at the bottom!" Pope exclaimed which made Jo let out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, steady here, JJ!"

"You should be seeing something man"

"I know, I know-" but Pope was cut off when Jo gasped as she saw the Royal Merchant.

"Oh my god, It's the Royal Merchant"

With great disappointment the gold was not on the ship which caused John B to be in an upset state for the rest of the day.

Jo was at home at home sitting at her desk doing absolutely nothing when a wave of inspiration hit her. Joanna's waves of inspiration were a rare thing to occur, basically what she did was, she would go out and kidnap one of her friends to make them an outfit. This time's victim was JJ Maybank.

Jo rushed downstairs with her car keys in hand and basically threw herself into the car seat before she took off to find JJ.
It didn't take long when she found him in a random corner smoking a blunt.

"Get in bitch" she said rather aggressively, the only downside of Joannas inspirational waves was that she became quite mean and only focused on her designing.

"Woah, whats up with you princess" JJ laughed as he got into the passenger seat.

"Inspirational wave, you're my victim" she smiled as she stepped on the gas, JJ's eyes widened and he began shaking his head. He had heard stories from John B when he was her victim once, he still had regular nightmares.

"No! No,no, please Jo come on" JJ whined.

"Oh quit whining, you'll be fine." Jo laughed as she pulled into the driveway of her house.

"Come on" she yelled as JJ walked too slow for her liking.

"You really do get mean!"

"Stand still JJ im trying to get your measurements" she said as she pulled her tailor's tape longer to measure him.

"Whoa there, didn't think you'd get on your knees for me so soon" JJ smirked as Jo was on her knees trying to get the correct measurements. Jo felt butterflies in her stomach but just ignored them as she stuck a pin in JJ's thigh.

"Ow, ow okay, okay sorry" JJ winced, rubbing the spot on his thigh before Jo slapped his hand away.

"What you gonna do?" JJ asked as Jo wrote the measurements into her book. She looked around before grabbing her sketch book and giving it to him.

"Woah this looks amazing Jo" JJ exclaimed as he saw the sketch of a suit that she was making.

"Thank you JJ" she mumbled with a small smile as she looked up to meet his eyes. The sexual tension in the room was very much present and all Jo wanted to do was push him against the wall and kiss him but ultimately she decided against it.

"So, why'd you tell Pope and not me?" JJ asked, sure he was a bit hurt that she had trusted Pope more than him.

"I don't know, I just did" Jo shrugged, the real reason was that every time she was around JJ she couldn't fully concentrate, the only thing she did concentrate on was him.

"Don't lie to me Jo, you suck at it. Just tell me why" JJ demanded, his eyes widened however as he seemed to realise something. "Oh my god you and Pope are macking" he seemed hurt and angry as he said those words.

"Jesus JJ you're so stupid" Jo exclaimed throwing her hands in the air as she felt herself get more and more annoyed.

"So tell me then!"

"I like you JJ! I didn't come to you because every time I'm around you I just want to fucking kiss you!" She shouted without thinking, the second those words left her lips she gasped. She couldn't believe that she had just told him that.

"What?" JJ questioned as his eyes widened.

"Just forget it JJ" she shook her head as she went back to sketching.
Though that's when the most unexpected thing happened.

"Screw this" JJ muttered as he pushed himself off the bed railing, he out his hands on either side of her face and kissed her. Jo's eyes widened as JJ quickly pulled back, he noticed the look of shock on the girls face as he started to feel embarrassed. "God Jo, I'm so sorry- I should have asked-" though he was cut off by Jo dropping her sketch book and pulling him into another kiss, though this kiss was more passionate.

They both stumbled back onto her bed and well, let's just say they did a lot more than just cuddle.
