Chapter Sixteen

"Tulips"

Jimin and Taehyung went to the university together that morning. Jimin wasn't willing to start a conversation, and although Taehyung wanted to speak, he decided to give him the time he needed to forgive him. On the way to campus, Taehyung stole quick glances at his lover.

Once they were near the university, Jimin veered to the right side of the road, which led to his Dance History class. Taehyung was supposed to go the other way, yet Jimin kept walking. Taehyung jogged to catch up and gently tapped the smaller man's shoulder.

As soon as Jimin turns his head he offered him a white tulip. Jimin's eyes widened for a moment before he took the flower but before he can say anything Taehyung had ran off to the opposite way.

Jimin wasn't going to lie.

The gesture made his heart flutter.

Taehyung waited for the day to end, and it felt painfully long—almost as if more than a day had passed. Once his class was over, he quickly made his way to the university gate and waited for his lover.

Early that morning, he had called Yoongi to get him a white tulip as an apology flower. While Jimin was taking a bath, he had sneaked out to retrieve it and did his best to hide it inside his bag. Now, he tapped his foot anxiously, feeling uneasy. He knew Jimin would probably ignore him—but what would he lose if he tried?

"Taehyung!"

He saw Hoseok approaching with Jimin. Taehyung swallowed nervously before walking toward them.

"Hi. Jimin says he won't be home until six," Hoseok informed him with an awkward smile. He glanced at Jimin, who was staring blankly at the wall beside him.

Taehyung nodded. "Are you going to be with him?"

"Yes. He wants to eat at a nearby café," Hoseok added.

"Ah... okay." Taehyung hesitated, then said softly, "Can you tell him I love him—and to be careful on his way home?" Taehyungs says with a pleading expression to Hoseok who looks like he's about to choke him.

Hoseok hesitated before leaning closer to Jimin. "He says he loves you and to be careful on your way home."

Jimin looked back at Hoseok. "Tell him to be careful as well."

Hoseok sighed loudly with frustration,"Ya! Are you kids? Did you guys hit your heads?!"

Jimin clicked his tongue. "Just tell him!" he insisted.

"But I bet he heard anyway! He's three feet away from us!" Hoseok complained.

Jimin pouted. "Aish! You!" He glared at Taehyung, who was now smiling widely. "Go home and stop smiling—you look like a hyena!" he grumbled, muttering more words Taehyung couldn't quite catch. Still, Jimin was clearly talking to him.

"Okay, uh—call me if you need me to—" Taehyung didn't get to finish as Jimin shoved his hand against the taller man's face to shut him up before walking away.

"Aigooo... I've never seen Jimin act that way," Hoseok commented, dumbfounded. "I didn't think you guys argued—he was cooing over that flower you gave him. He even took selcas with it. But you didn't hear that from me!" Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows knowingly before hurrying after Jimin.

Taehyung chuckled to himself. Jimin wasn't hard to coax, and when he pouted, he looked incredibly adorable. Taehyung wanted to chase him down and pepper his face with kisses.
