Chapter Twenty-Nine"Pretty"
♣
Hoseok couldn't sleep, three hours had passed since Namjoon drove Jimin back to his apartment. According to Namjoon, Jimin called him after a few minutes of dropping him off at his house and told him he needs to get out as soon as possible. Namjoon couldn't bring Jimin to his house since he's still living with his parents, so he drops him at Hoseok's apartment instead. Hoseok doesn't mind at all. When he saw Jimin standing at the foot of his door he engulfs him in a hug. He tries to initiate a conversation, but Jimin was unresponsive.
Once Hoseok showed him the spare room Jimin quickly bows his head as a thank you before locking himself inside. They can both hear him crying inside the room, Namjoon didn't have a choice but to leave since it was past midnight.
It's already four in the morning and it bugs him how swollen Jimin's eyes were. Jimin couldn't even look them in the eye, he just kept his head low, eyes never leaving the floor. Hoseok got up and walks over to the spare room, he notices that the door was slightly open. Maybe Jimin went out to drink water he thinks. He hesitated for a moment but proceeded to enter the room.
Jimin was curled into a ball on the floor beside the bed. His eyes were shut close, but Hoseok can hear his small sobs, his heart was shaken at the sight. He quickly makes his way to kneel beside his friend, he places his hand over Jimin's cheek. The latter slowly opens his eyes, his nose was red, and his eyes were still welling with tears. "Oh Chiminie." He whispers softly as he pulls Jimin's face towards his chest, he tries to wrap his arm around Jimin's back to comfort him.
"Hyung, I hate him a lot." Jimin says through sobs, "He made me hate myself for so long!" He cries as tears fell endlessly, "I hate him I hate him I hate him--" He chanted each time his voice lowers until he went silent.
"Hey," Hoseok utters, voice trembling as he held his tears back, "We can leave earlier than expected, we can leave the bitter past behind. You can leave those ugly memories behind Jimin."
Jimin slowly calms down, "The thing is... I hate him but I still loved him." He admits, his lips were pursed as he tries to stop himself from crying.
Hoseok nods, "I know sweetheart but it's time for you to move on. Find someone else who's more deserving of you."
Jimin shuts his eyes, wiping his tears, and looks back at Hoseok. Jimin stared up at him looking vulnerable, "I did but he forgot about me."
Hoseok looks at him confused, "Who are you talking about?"
Jimin shakes his head lightly, "You are right, we should leave. I want to leave this place." He states as his lips trembled, he bites his lower lips to try and stop him from letting out sobs.
"Jimin don't keep it in, just cry. It's only us here right now, so let it all out." Hoseok says attempting to soothe Jimin's ache by letting him cry his heart out. Jimin looks at him and completely cries out in his arms. Jimin has been shaking uncontrollably, he was breathing through his mouth. Hoseok cradled Jimin closer to him and hugs him tightly. He swore to himself that he will always stay by his side. He will never let anyone hurt Jimin this way ever again. He needs to be tough as well.
