Chapter Thirty

"Oceans away pt. 1"

"What are you doing here?" Jungkook asks, "How did you---"

"Yoongi brought me here. How are you Jungkook?" Jimin asks, his eyes are glossy, but he tries his best not to break down.

Jungkook stares at Jimin's eyes then down to his lips. Jungkook parts his mouth, but no words came out. He closes his lips and swallows a lump in his throat, he shakes his head slowly trying to get a grip of himself. He feels like all the weight he was carrying had been lifted off.

His feet moved towards Jimin voluntarily and pulls him into a tight hug. He hears Jimin gasps at the sudden action, but he quickly melted into Jungkook's embrace the moment their bodies clashed.

He wraps his arm around Jimin's back, bringing him even closer, desperately yearning for his warmth. Jungkook remembers how it felt to hug him, all those times that he would bury his nose into Jimin's nape just to get a whip of his scent. He remembers how Jimin smiled, how his eyes would slowly disappear into thin lines as he laughed carelessly, it would make Jungkook's heart flutter. Jimin's warmth, his soft voice when he talks sweetly, his eyes that look so pretty and shows honesty, his hands that fit perfectly in his, and Jimin's blinding smile. He realized just how much he had missed him.

Jimin holds onto him with as much intensity, his smaller hands grasping the back of Jungkook's white shirt almost desperately. Jungkook breathes in Jimin's scent as he spoke against his ear, "Jimin I missed you so much." He managed to say as he pulls away his other hand stayed at Jimin's waist while the other was delicately cradling the side of Jimin's face. The latter looks up at him through his lashes, his cheeks were dusted with a pink color.

"I---I mi—" Jimin stammers, cursing internally for messing it up. He couldn't seem to find the words he wanted to say. "I mis---"

This time he doesn't finish, the next thing he knew was a pair of lips against his. Jimin was surprised but he closes his eyes. Jungkook didn't deepen the kiss once he realized what he had done he tries to step away quickly but Jimin stood on his toes and pulls his collar to him. And again, their lips met. This time Jungkook took the initiative to kiss Jimin passionately, he deepens the kiss. It felt like their first kiss, Jimin's lips were soft and supple, they smell like peaches.

Jungkook  ends the kiss by pulling himself away, stupified for a second before he clears his throat, "I'm sorry, you must've been surprised."

Jungkook wanted to look away, but he couldn't. Jimin stares back at him, his lips parted slightly, eyes wide with anticipation. "Don't, I wanted to kiss you too."

Jungkook reaches down to touch Jimin's fingers, he takes his time, and eventually, he intertwines their fingers. He brings it up to his face and kisses the back of Jimin's hand. It was like a flashback but instead of Jimin seeing Taehyung's face it was now Jungkook.

"Where were you?" Jimin asks in a small voice, not breaking their eye contact

"Didn't you choose him," Jungkook says but it sounded more like a question.

"Did you come to see me when I performed on stage? Was it you? That day, the one who gave me those white tulips?" Jimin asks with a more confident tone.

Jungkook nods slowly, "I couldn't stop myself, but I promised it would be the last time. I didn't want to bother you."

Jimin's tears were welling up his eyes, so he shifts his gaze to the floor, but Jungkook held Jimin's chin lightly and lifts his head, so he looks at him. His tears fell, "I--- I don't know how long I can take missing you every day."
