Chapter Twenty-One

"Doubts"

Jimin was enchanted by the place. He gaped at the sight of the apartment. Jungkook held Jimin's hand, his gaze turned elsewhere instead of the man beside him.

"Taehyung, let me just get this straight," Jimin started. "You are in another man's body, so don't just touch me like this. It's making me feel uncomfortable." He tried to pull his hand away.

"I'm sorry, Jimin," Jungkook apologized as he let him go. "You're right. But as I said, I've missed you so much."

"You didn't bring girls here, right?" Jimin asked out of the blue.

Jungkook's face contorted as he looked offended. "What are you saying?"

"Are you angry? It's just a harmless question." Jimin shrugged as if it were no big deal.

Jungkook shook his head in disbelief. "Harmless? How is that harmless?" He let out a short laugh. "I don't know what Jungkook did to you, but you've been so cold to me ever since you asked me to meet. Aren't you happy we're together?" he asked softly, like the answer mattered more to him than it should.

Jimin felt bad. He was right. Maybe he was being insensitive. Now he regretted asking that question. "I'm sorry."

"No, I don't bring girls here. Do you want me to be completely honest? Fine—last time I had sex was around five months ago, with you—" he suddenly said, causing Jimin to feel embarrassed. Jimin pressed his lips together as heat rushed to his face. "Are you blushing?"

Jimin stepped away from him. "I'm not. It's just hot in here," he denied, shaking his head.

"Now I'm honest, alright?"

"Can you excuse me for a sec? I need to use the bathroom," Jimin said.

Jungkook nodded and pointed down the corridor. "It's on the right. I'll wait for you in the kitchen, and I'll order food."

Jimin nodded and walked past him. Once he reached the bathroom, he placed his hands on the countertop and stared at his reflection in the mirror. His face was flushed. He turned on the faucet and splashed cold water on his face.

Somehow, just looking at the real Jungkook made his face turn red. He panicked every time they touched—it was driving him crazy. He sat down on the toilet lid, trying to cool off before walking out.

This can't be true.

Jimin shook his head, refusing to believe his feelings for Jungkook were this strong. "What do I do?" he whispered to himself.

He stood up and took one last look at himself in the mirror—then paused. He pulled a lip balm from his handbag and applied it to his lips before heading out.

"I want Jimin to stay here—"

Jimin heard Jungkook say it and was baffled for a moment before realizing he was talking to someone on the phone.

"Guess he chose me," Jungkook said under his breath. "I told you he would."

It ticked him off. "Taehyung," Jimin called out, trying to get his attention.

Jungkook quickly lowered his phone, eyes widening. "Jimin."

"What are you doing? Is this a game to you?" Jimin asked, clearly annoyed.

"Of course not. He called me—I was just responding!" Jungkook explained.

"You were mocking him," Jimin added. "Grow up! Why can't you?"
