It was 10:30 at night and I was supposed to be asleep but I couldn't. I climbed out of bed and through my window. I sat on my wooden platform that I built with my father when I was younger.

I sat there with a blanket wrapped around me that I brought with me. It was a bit breezy tonight and it made me feel really calm.

The sky was clear today. Usually, there were clouds here and there but tonight there were stars twinkling, here, there and practically everywhere.

I looked up and stared at them. I admired them until I felt like they were falling on me.

That was until I heard a noise nearby.

I looked to my right to see my best friend since childhood, Draco, coming up.

He sat next to me and huffed. "I don't remember it being that bloody hard to get up here. What are you doing up anyway?" He asked.

"I could ask you the same. Why are you up and up here?" I asked as I nudged him. He scoffed and laughed. "Couldn't sleep. Don't know why,"

I hummed in response. We sat there for a good minute before he decided to lay his head on my lap. I leaned my back up against the bark of the tree.

These were the moments I knew I was going to treasure forever. Draco and I, in a tree, looking at the stars.

"Wanna know something?" He randomly asked. He didn't look at me. He was still looking at the stars. In his eyes, I saw the tiniest reflection of the clear night sky, some leaves, and a part of my face.

"Yeah... what is it?" I asked. Before he spoke, a small breathy laugh came from him. It was the same laugh he did everytime he recalled a memory he loved.

"When I was little, I didn't really have many friends besides you, I mean, you knew how I was? Everyone hated me. Anyways, it was always you and Dobby and anything I didn't tell you, I always told Dobby,"

I laughed. "And so I was always like Dobby, you'll never believe what Y/n did today or Dobby can you ask Mommy if she can make my favorite soup or or or Dobby I studied really hard for my test and I passed it!" He said.

He laughed and brushed his hair back with his fingers since the wind blew it onto his face. "And he always said Dobby is proud of Master Draco or my favorite, Dobby will always be Master Draco's best friend!" Draco said as he inpersonated Dobby.

I couldn't help but laugh til my stomach cramped. Draco finally looked at me. He and I locked eyes like never before. My laugh slowly echoed away.

We always looked at each other but never felt like this. His smile slowly faded, but not away. It was still there.
His eyes.

They seemed to be more rounder than normal, softer looking.

He slowly sat up. He never broke the contact. In fact, he came closer.

His face was about two inches away from my face. He tilted his head to the left and closed his eyes.

Without even realizing it, I found myself getting closer to him, too. I tilted my head to the right and closed my eyes.

His lips were soft against mine.

He pulled away as we both opened our eyes at the same time, trying to process what just happened.

We both nervously laughed but sat there softly smiling. "I can't wait to tell Dobby that you were my first kiss," he says.

I felt my heart flutter a bit when he said that.

"You're mine, too."

He moved himself and sat next to me, enough so I could lay my head on his shoulder as he laid his above mine.

"Can we stay like this forever?" He asked, holding my hand.

"I wish. But your parents would kill you if they found out you snuck out this late."
