After another failed attempt, Alora put the phone down and continued packing for the two nights over at Alfea.
It was New Year's Eve and Treasa invited Alora and Lisa over to celebrate the new year on Alfea's campus. For one, Treasa didn't want to go home, Minu couldn't go home – and Alora and Lisa would've stayed home alone because their mother was busy working in the hospital that day.
"Have you finished packing, Lisa?" Alora peeked into Lisa's room where the younger sister was found scrolling through her phone while lying on her bed. "I've been done since yesterday evening. You were the one pulling an all-nighter at the hospital."
Alora chuckled. "Yes, but now I have two days off. So, it was worth it. I was also visiting Esme; she has found a new rehab center that fits her needs!" Lisa put her phone down and looked at her slightly worried sister. "Jun again?"
The older fairy sighed, shrugging. "I know he's busy and he's now home to take on some duties. But his answers are...pretty rash and that's not how I got to meet him."
"You could ask Cécilia, maybe she can have a look at him if she lives in his vicinity. Didn't she say so?" Lisa countered and Alora nodded, furrowing her brows. "I mean, that'd do no harm, right?"
Lisa shortly raised her finger before sinking back into her pillow and checking her phone.
Alora strode back into her room and looked for her and Cécilia's chat on her phone, writing. 'So I've been texting him but I get short msgs only and he pushes me away?? Maybe?? I don't know'
She put her phone down on her nightstand, continuing to pack a few more things when her smartphone vibrated, signaling a new message from Cécilia – a voice message to be exact.
Alora pressed play and held it up to her ear, looking for the dress she bought recently.
"I can't believe he's just putting you off like that, like – what's his deal? Okay he's kinda royalty but at some point, he has some time off? Or when he goes to bed? If you want, I can be a bit nosey and check who goes in and out. As you know we're almost neighbors. Just a block apart." Cécilia's voice stopped and Alora closed her backpack, taking her phone back into her hands and also starting to record her voice. "Like, only if that isn't a hassle for you! He's been super responsive when he was in Magix...I just hope there's nothing serious going on in Solaria like in Andros for example."
She dropped her phone on the bed and looked around for her earrings to put on.
'On it, queen. You'll hear from me. Detective Céce – out.' Cécilia texted back and Alora shook her head with a soft smile, pulling her backpack over her shoulder. She walked over to Lisa's room, nodding at her. "Are you ready? It's time to go."
Lisa got up swiftly and stuffed her phone into her bag before watching Alora conjure a transportation circle to walk through.
It was around 5pm, already pretty dark and as soon as the two of them stepped out of the portal they saw lots of students already holding a party on Alfea's campus. Music was playing from different corners and a few people passed by the fairy sisters.
Alora pointed towards the left wing of the Alfea building. "The second last balcony, that's my suite. I think we can just fly towards it once we stand under it. Long flying is prohibited on campus unless it's an emergency. But this swift move won't be a problem. You can levitate again, right?"
Her little sister rubbed her arm as they made their way towards Alora's room's balcony. "Yes...thanks to Mika..." Alora softly caressed Lisa's back. "I can't wait until you transform finally and join Alfea next year. I'm gonna be by your side a lot more. And until then, I can't wait for you to meet everyone! Sadly, Cécilia has her own party to attend on Solaria, I would've loved for you to see her bubbly nature in person. She's such a blast to be around, I think she might be a little too much for you but Cécilia cares so much for everyone, I think you'd quickly love her."
