“I promise you. I'm still going to fight for you, for this, for us, regardless of what happens,” Baekhyun has been repeating that to himself ever since the dating news went viral on social media.

He made a promise to Taeyeon, the woman he loves more than himself, and he doesn't want to see her go now that they're together. They both decided to face everything together, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for both of them as time passes.

“Taeyeon, can we talk?” he had been asking the same question for a couple of days now, and had received no response from Taeyeon except for…

“I can't right now, babe. I'm busy; can we talk about it later?” she simply replied, and all Baekhyun could do was agree.

But that conversation never really happened because they were always busy, but sometimes being busy wasn't the real reason for not talking, and other times it was intentional. They kept themselves busy purposefully in order to avoid discussing what was going on around them, which was bad for both of them.

“You two still not talking?” Sehun asked as soon as he noticed Baekhyun enter his room and take the seat on the floor next to him.

“No, I'm not sure what's going on with our relationship anymore; one day, it's all good and fine, and now, it's a disaster,” Baekhyun agonized as he continued to look down at his phone, adding, “Of course, being an idol… dating your co-idol… especially when both of you are under the same company, is a walking disaster, right?”

Sehun took a break from his game and looked at his brother, surprised and concerned by what he had just said. He knew him well enough, and he was always optimistic, but something isn't right, as he took a close look at him and noticed that he hadn't slept in days.

“What are you talking about, hyung? Why are you saying that? It's not wrong to date the person you love—”

“I know that, but…” he trailed off as he set his phone down and grabbed the couch pillow, hugging it as he reached for the other PlayStation controller beside Sehun's. “…but maybe we shouldn't have done it in the first place? I mean, we knew from the start that there would be repercussions… and this is the repercussion of loving your co-idol.”

“Why are you saying such things, hyung? Really now?” Sehun narrowed his eyes and continued to watch every move he made. “You're not drunk, are you?”

He just chuckled. “Me, drunk? Of course not!”

Alcohol was not on Baekhyun's list right now because he doesn't drink and doesn't want to get drunk, especially since he and Taeyeon still hadn't talked yet.

Baekhyun and Sehun kept playing video games, and whenever Sehun attempted to talk to him, he would not respond and would instead change the subject to the game they were playing until Luhan knocked and entered the room, bringing some bad news.

“Sorry to bother you, but have you heard what happened at the airport earlier this morning?” Luhan asked as he stood in front of his brothers, holding out his phone, so they could read the article he had just read.

“What happened?”

Earlier at the airport, after Baekhyun called Taeyeon, she was approached by fans, some of whom are fans of their relationship and some of whom are detractors. As much as she receives supportive messages from them, there are still insensitive fans who didn't waste their time to say hurtful words to her, and as much as she doesn't want their fans to see her crying and be more strong, she failed.

“I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry,” she kept saying as she bowed down and tried not to cry.

“If loving him/her is wrong, maybe we should stop now? Or should we continue to fight for it?” she pondered at the time, as he did when he read the article.
