“What—”
“Byun Baekhyun!”
Before I could respond to Ravi's question that caught me off guard and made me reconsider my life decisions, Suho appeared behind Ravi and was surprised to see us together outside.
That was good timing, but I'm not sure how to respond to that question, at least for the time being. But I know myself, and I'd be lying if I told Ravi that I no longer have feelings for Taeyeon because I do. I loved her and still love her after seven years, or however many years it takes. She's the love of my life, my first love, whom I had to let go because that's what she wants.
“Baekhyun… Oh, hey… Ravi…” Suho trailed off as Ravi stepped aside to let Suho pass, but he just stood there and smiled at him before looking at me with a confused and concerned expression as he asked, “Am I interrupting something?”
Ravi returned the smile and shakes his head. “No, no, please. I was about to go inside anyway. I'll see you later, Baekhyun,” he said, nodding his head and grinning as he began walking inside.
Suho looked at me then back inside where Ravi went back and forth, then he nodded to himself and raised his brows at me suggestively, as if he understands what's going on on his own.
“Oh, I did interrupt something, didn't I? What was it about?” he asked as he closed the sliding door and walked up beside me, offering me a drink, which I quickly drank. “I expected to see a fight or punching each other or something along those lines.”
I chuckled, shaking my head, and pretended I didn't understand what he was saying. “Do we appear to be capable of doing that to each other, and what could be the cause of that?”
I know Suho is aware of what's going on; I know he is aware that Ravi and Taeyeon are always together, and he is aware that I have been in love with the same woman for over ten years.
“Baekhyunnie,” he laughed hysterically, as if what I just said was funny, and then patted my shoulder and shook me a little. “You can't keep anything from me, I know you. What happened?”
I sighed in defeat, even though I wanted to avoid talking about it right now and just enjoy the party or leave, Suho was the only person I could confide in about it. He's our leader, after all, the one who has stood like a mother and father to us, the one who has always taken care of us for the past ten years, and I know he will understand and advise me on something that might help me.
“Ravi…” I exhaled a shaky breath I hadn't realized I was holding and turned to him to continue, “Ravi just told me he likes Taeyeon and told me every time he was about to tell her his feelings there was an interruption, and I was this crazy idiot who just told him that, if he really likes her, he must do everything just so he can tell her that. What do I do, hyung?”
I looked at him again, expecting him to laugh or say something about what I had just done, as if, why would you tell someone to do something like that, especially if you both like the same person? Because of this, I must be a very self-sacrificing person, but I also want to be selfish… Just so Taeyeon and I could be together again.
“Well…” Suho sighed loudly, bringing me back to reality, and clicked his tongue while crossing his arms. “You know what, there's only one thing you can do… Baekhyun…” he says, cutting himself off.
“What? I don't think I have a chance to stop Ravi because now that we're here talking while he's inside with Taeyeon, you know what—” I panickingly blurted, but Suho put both of his hands up, stopping me from continuing to speak.
“Tell Taeyeon you still love her and do everything you can to get her back to you, and this time don't let her go,” he said firmly, and grinned proudly at me for his brilliant advice.
