4 years later…
“Happy birthday, Xiumin hyung!” exclaimed EXO members as Xiumin walked into their former practice room.
“Thank you, guys!” Xiumin exclaimed almost tearfully as his family approached him.
Baekhyun, who's holding the cake they had made for their elder brother, “Make a wish, hyung,” exclaimed cheerfully.
Xiumin closed his eyes, wishing the same wish he had— that EXO would remain strong forever with EXO Ls by their side; that they would face all the challenges that lay ahead; that they would make good music for their fans and perform in front of them with all of their members forever.
“Whoohooo!” everyone applauded as he blew out the candle, hoping that his wish would come true.”
“Happy birthday, hyung!”
“Happy birthday, Xiumin!”
“Cut the cake so—” the abrupt knock on the door interrupted Baekhyun, and made him stopped cheering.
“It must be our sunbaes,” he thought before he dashed towards the door while the other members were busy, and when he opened it, he grinned.
In front of him is the girl he has been crushing on since joining the company, and who he dated years later but eventually broke up with, but who he dated again after a long time, and this time is different because they both made their relationship work.
“Hey, Baekhyun! Stop staring at your girlfriend; you can do that later,” Tiffany joked as she passed by both of them along with the other SNSD members.
They both laughed, and Baekhyun extended his arm, which Taeyeon gladly accepted as she entered the room while he closed the door. As they stood there, memories of celebrating Xiumin's birthday in the same practice room they were now in flashed through their minds.
It's the same place, but now has different memories cause Baekhyun and Taeyeon are no longer just sunbae-hoobae, they are boyfriends-girlfriends. They celebrated Xiumin's birthday happily as they recalled everything they had gone through, especially the mysterious man on the other end of the practice room.
A lot has happened inside of four years, EXO members left the company and went to different agency, but they still always held a get together along with their former members who left before. SNSD stayed the same as well as the other groups, their friends… there's a lot of new boy and girl groups that debuted too. But nothing changes between Taeyeon and Baekhyun even though they're in different company, has their own solo tours and solo schedules, they chose it that way.
Gocheok Sky Dome, April 16, 2026.
The couple has been through a lot since they first started dating and are still dating now, but they have only grown stronger, and their relationship has become stronger than ever.
Today marks the start of Baekhyun's third solo tour with his young brother, which will begin in Seoul and will most likely end in California, where he and Taeyeon reconnected. She's coming to his concert, of course; their relationship has been widely publicized, and they don't care; they've had enough of it already. It's their life, after all.
“Are you sure you're going to do it now?” Sehun inquired as they both prepared for the concert.
“I'm certain, I've never been so certain in my life aside from being a member of EXO, so yeah, I'm doing it,” he stated firmly.
“All right, we'll all be there to support you, just like you've always done for us,” Sehun said, patting his shoulders and nodding.
Their concert began, and they all performed their songs as their fans applauded loudly for them, the same fans who have been there from the beginning to the end, the same fans who never tire of supporting every decision they've made.
