Chapter 1 - Meeting A Stranger

~ 3rd Person POV ~
"Ash slow down" a brown haired woman chuckled as her son was speeding all through the whole house
"I'm just a nervous wreck" the boy sighed taking a breath
"morning!" a purple haired boy smiled tiredly as he got his coffee ready
"morning Reggie" the pair said
"where's Paul shouldn't he be heading to the cafe?" the woman blinked
"yeah, he's getting ready" Reggie smiled as the woman smiled back
"I better go do my hair" Ash smiled as he went upstairs

the boy brushed his hair and put a white clip in it then rushed out of the bathroom to get his other materials as he bumped into someone in the hallway
"ah!" Ash squeaked as he fell back
"sorry Ash, are you okay?" the purple haired boy said as he kneeled beside him
"yeah" he smiled
"sorry Paul" he added with a frown
"it's fine, try slowing down" he said as he picked the boy up and their noses touched making the pair blush
"uhm, i gotta get ready" Ash gave Paul a slight push back as he tried getting out his mind and get his mind on getting ready for his first day with a new kindergarten class

"Crystal! Is Ashley ready yet??" an auburn man called out as he was sitting on the second to last step of the staircase that lead straight up to the bedrooms
"almost sir!" the bluenette maid called back
"daddy!" the girl with auburn hair giggled hugging the man
"why is your hair only half way done? and what happened to your curls I set up for you yesterday night?" he questioned as the girl blinked
"that's because she keeps squirming sir and next time you make curls try to ACTUALLY set the rollers up correctly, they fell out of her hair" the maid sighed
"well sorry, I'm not a hair expert" the man retorted

"come here sweetie, you mind getting her school materials sir please?" the maid said as she started making the other pigtail as the auburn sighed and nodded
"terrible day for Sawyer to take the day off" he muttered referring to his chofer
"ready daddy!" the girl said running to her dad bumping into him and fell back
"I'm okay!" she squeaked giggling
"let's go Ashley" he sighed holding her hand and going down the stairs with her
"wait!" she suddenly said running up the stairs
"Ashley, where are you going??" the man lightly scowled
"I forgot my stuffy for show and tell" she whined and left as the auburn sighed
"here's your briefcase sir" the maid smiled as the man took the briefcase
"thank you Crystal, hurry up Ash!" he called out

"it surprises me you're gonna take her to a public school" the bluenette smiled
"why do you say that?" he blinked
"because you went to a private school and had everything handed to you on a silver plater" she shrugged as the man chuckled
"maybe, but I want to teach Ashley that she doesn't need to judge people by social classes as my parents tried to teach me" the auburn smiled as the bluenette smiled back

"okay ready!" the girl said as she ran down the stairs
"alright, see ya Crystal thank you for everything" the man smiled as the two left
"bye, drive safe" she smiled waving
"bye Crystal!" the girl squeaked as the two then left

"hey, Misty!" Ash chimed with a sigh as he got to the school as quick as he could
"hey, you seem tired" the redhead giggled
"yeah, I was running a bit late, struggled with riding the bus" he sighed as she smiled
"gotcha, are you excited for the new kids we'll be teaching?" Misty smiled
"yes I am, I can't wait" he smiled as she smiled back and after a brief conversation Ash went to his classroom and got his materials ready

As the kids went rushing in Ash greeted them all sweetly, he really loved kids and he always wanted his own someday
one thing he didn't like about his job, was the stares he'd sometimes get from some parents, since he was openly gay, he would dress in pastel colors, colors people would identify as 'feminine' as well as put clips in his hair

~ Ash's POV ~
As the last of kids came into my classroom I smiled and was about to shut my door until–
"wait! wait! wait!"
"hm?" I blinked as I looked over to see an auburn little girl running in heels
what kid wears heels? and at such a young age
"ow!" she then tripped
"oh my" I blinked as I was going to approach her until some man was after her running as well with what I'm guessing her lunchbox
"Ashley! I told you be careful" he called out
"a-are you okay?" I blinked as I bend down next to her
"I think so, my knee really hurts though" she frowned as my heart melted at her emerald green eyes

"I'm sorry, we were in a hurry" the man who I'm guessing is her dad sighed taking a breath
"it's okay, it's only the first day of school, it happens" I smiled as I took the lunchbox from his hand and he smiled and finally looked at me and I froze at the handsome face I proceeded to see
such nice soft auburn looking spikes, emerald green eyes, and a gentle smile
"hello?!? My knee!!!" I heard the girl speak as we focused our attention on her again
"I told you to not wear heels" her dad said as she pouted
"well maybe I wouldn't had if you actually would've picked me some shoes like Crystal asked you to" she retorted as he sighed rolling his eyes

"great now I'm late to work" he sighed looking at his watch
"if you'd like I'll get her some ice, just leave it to me" I smiled at him
"are you sure?" he sighed as I nodded
"okay, if you insist it's just that, I feel bad for her coming this late" he bit his lip
"it's okay, like I said it's happens" I smiled as he smiled at me once more and gave me the lunchbox I smiled and took it from him and in the process our hands touched making me blush at the contact with his soft skin
I quickly snapped out of it and just took it trying to ignore the warmth I felt on my cheeks as I noticed how he also had a soft pink form on his

"thank you . . . y-your name?" he slightly chuckled
"Mr. Ketchum, but you can call me Ash" I smiled
"thank you Ash" he smiled and then quickly extended his hand
"Gary, Gary Oak" he smiled as I smiled with a light blush
"n-nice to meet you" I smiled
"back at you" he said softly then cleared his throat
"be nice to Mr. Ketchum Ashley, okay? I'll pick you up 2" he smiled as she nodded and hugged him

he gave me one last smile and left, as I proceeded to help her with injury

what a handsome guy.

i named her Ashley because i thought it'd be cute to make her twins with Ash in a way lol, i hope it won't get too confusing lol. 😅🤍

so anyways, there's the first chapter! i hope you liked it, it's only the introduction to Gary and Ash's relationship and the next chapter will be more focused and introducing the relationship between Ash and Paul, i just wanted to do it one at a time because i didn't want to cause any confusion with the state of each relationship if that makes sense. 😊🤍
