Chapter 8 - War

~ 3rd Person POV ~
Gary sighed after a long night playing with his daughter, the girl was back and fourth with her baby doll which she wanted Gary to play "grandpa" with her

After his warm shower he was now looking out the window of his room, his mind just tormenting him about what his daughter told him about Ash's plans that night
'he's probably laughing it off with that housewife' Gary thought to himself with a scowl
"you want some tea sir?" the blue haired maid said as she lightly knocked on the door of his room
"uh no thank you" he smiled turning to the woman who smiled and nodded
"something on your mind? you seem upset" the bluenette said
"I just have a bit of a problem" the man sighed and sat on a chair and tapped on the one next to him as the maid sat down
"that is?" she smiled

After explaining his situation with Paul and how he is basically falling for Ash the maid smiled
"all you have to do is your best, don't pressure yourself, maybe he's not the one" she smiled as Gary nodded
"yeah I guess you're right" Gary smiled as the woman nodded knowingly
"if you want to step up your game you can invite him to the collection release you'll be having at the Sun Shore Beach, you can spend many romantic moments with him, it may work" the bluenette smiled as Gary gave her another smile
"thank you Crystal" he said as the maid nodded
"never knew you were also attracted to men" the woman giggled as Gary grinned
"I didn't either until Ash came along, it's a weird feeling but all I know if I've never felt this way about a man" he chuckled as the bluenette giggled as well
"I better leave you now, pretty sure you're tired" she smiled after a small silence and started leaving until Gary spoke up

"oh uh Crystal where's Ashley?" he blinked as the woman smiled
"she fell asleep sir" she said
"oh okay, thank you" he smiled as the bluenette gave him one last smile and left

Gary then went to Ashley's room picking up some of the stuffed animals on the ground and placing them in their regular position and smiled seeing the girl sleeping, hugging her pink teddy bear in her sleep
Gary sat by the bed and moved her bangs out of her face, Gary then smiled and kissed her forehead, and got comfortable next to her and ended up sleeping there for the night

The next morning Paul woke up and got himself ready, while waiting for the shower since Ash was in it, he got Ash's phone and was going to check it
when having to guess his phone passcode he sighed, to him it was obvious it had to be his favorite food and birthday
when successfully opening it he went through the boy's contacts and stumbled upon Gary's which was labeled " Gary <3 " making Paul grit his teeth since his was labeled " Paul (: "
when going through the messages he noticed Gary had messaged him which made Paul's blood boil

Gary: i hope you sleep well, goodnight beautiful. ❤️

and Ash's response wasn't any better

Ash: awh, you're so sweet. ❤️ i hope you sleep well too, thank you Gare. ❤️

As Paul went through their messages he got a lot of that as well as simple conversations between the two but one other thing that made his blood boil was that Gary would send the boy pictures and Ash would too, and to Paul Ash looked too adorable in those pictures he'd send to Gary which had very adorable poses like throwing the peace sign or kisses which Paul didn't approve of that one
with Gary it was obvious, although Paul hated to admit it, Gary was something when it came to his looks
nice jawline, perfect teeth and perfect skin no wonder Ash would pay so much attention to him

and the fact Ash has those pictures saved onto his camera roll didn't help

Paul then decided to FaceTime Gary to see his reaction when he tells him off

Gary, who was in his office, grinned at seeing the FaceTime call and fixed his hair and answered it
"hey beautiful" Gary grinned until seeing Paul who became disgusted
"excuse me???" Paul said as Gary furrowed his eyebrows
"excuse yourself! I answered this thinking I'd see Ash's face not your goblin looking face" Gary scowled
"you absolutely disgust me, don't call me beautiful ever again!" Paul retorted
"oh trust me I won't there's nothing beautiful about you trust me, surprised which didn't break my phone screen" Gary scowled as Paul scoffed
"just get out my face" Paul said as Gary laughed
"me? You called me in the first place" Gary scoffed

"oh yeah, guess what?" Paul grinned as Gary gave him a disgusted look
"Ash kissed me on the cheek" Paul grinned as Gary's expression became furious
"don't believe you" he scowled
"he did, but whatever" Paul chuckled
"looks like I'm winning" Paul added as Gary scowled
"oh trust me you won't" he growled
"hm, whatever you say" Paul grinned
"this is war" Gary growled once more as Paul grinned

"challenge accepted" he grinned once more.
