~ Ash's POV ~
After the whole commotion Gary told me I could take a break so I decided to eat my lunch although I wasn't at all hungry after everything that had happened
"hey Ash are you okay?" Mallow said sitting next to me as the other ladies sat down with me
"yeah just not hungry" I smiled lightly as I put my fork down from my rice and stuffed pepper
"I'm sorry Ash, I hope you feel better" Mallow smiled at me and hugged me as I hugged back with a smile
"thank you all of you it means a lot to me" I said smiling genuinely despite these women not knowing me so much they've always been so kind to me
"to get things off your mind can I tell your fortune?" Georgia said with a grin making me smile
"sure" I said as she got her cards out and did her procedure
"ohhhh interesting" she giggled
"well telling your fortune for the New Year and Valentine's Day which is coming up" Georgia started
"well it looks like you'll have a good New Year! Lots of happiness and love!" Georgia smiled
"Valentine's Day though . . . " she giggled
"you'll be getting lots of love . . . " she giggled making the other girls giggle making me also giggle and blush
"and like I had mentioned in my previous fortune telling for you it'll be from these two men"
"but sadly, after that it looks like you're gonna be making a very tough decision"
"I see" I mumbled knowing that maybe my time to pick between Gary and Paul is coming
"I don't know this other guy and i know my opinion may not exactly count for that but Gary seems to really love you Ash, it's convenient he's not only a very handsome man but very gentle and sweet to you. he is very protective of you and i think that's what is the most important in a partner" Mallow explained
"and I know from my own experience" she added
"yeah that's very true" I smiled
"what's the other guy like?" Lana pondered making me snap my head up considering Paul is a very difficult person to describe
"he owns a cafe, and he's very sweet I grew up with him in fact I always sorta had feelings for him from the start but never really realized them until the older I got, it was kinda embarrassing because i never thought he'd feel the same" I explained having grown up with Paul I never knew if I saw him more as a brother or crush and possibly a partner
"is he handsome?" the girls giggled
"well in my opinion yes"
"picture?" Georgia giggled as I pulled out my phone and showed them a picture of Paul which they all looked at
"I see the appeal but not much my type" Mallow giggled
"yeah same here" the rest said as I nodded
"understandable"
"does he skateboard?" Iris asked as I nodded
"yeah. well more like he used to in high school" I said with a smile, Paul had always been an edgy guy and always was one to do edgy guy type of things
"I see he looks like he would" Iris smiled at me
"is there one you like the most though?" Mallow cooed lightly with her chin resting on her palm causing me to bite my lip
"I'm not sure"
"it's okay although to me it kinda seems like you like Gary more" Georgia giggled
"i guess" I giggled looking away from them who smiled
"anyways that's the last of our worries, it's your decision and your feelings"
"yes of course" I smiled lightly
– Time Skip a Couple Days –
Once New Years came along Ash got ready for his New Years celebration with his family
"how do I look?!?" Ash said with a giggle and posed in a silver blouse and black skirt with fishnet tights under and a silver flower clip
"amazing sweetheart!" Delia smiled
"thank you mom!" Ash giggled
"too much silver" Paul muttered walking by Ash who rolled his eyes
"thanks . . . I guess"
