Chapter 21 - Rumors

~ 3rd Person POV ~
"okay! I know this is a bit late since Christmas is in a week or so, but like i said we'll be doing a secret Santa" Delia smiled
"okay so it's us four and Reggie you said Daisy wants to join too huh?" Delia said writing the names
"yeah" Reggie smiled as Delia counted it up and realized they were one short
"dang it! There's a problem" Delia frowned
"what is it?" Ash blinked
"well it's us four and with Daisy makes five we need one more person" Delia explained as Ash nodded as the four brainstormed
"oh I know!" Ash smiled
"I'll ask Gary if he'd like to join" Ash smiled as Delia smiled back
"you're right! Let's do that!" Delia smiled as Ash got out his phone
"what no! I object!" Paul scowled as the three sighed
"come on Paul" Reggie scowled
"well count me out" Paul retorted
"Paul stop! You said you'd join stop being so stubborn!" Ash scowled as Paul sighed
"fine" he muttered

"hey Gary" Ash smiled as Gary picked up the phone
"hey, something wrong?" Gary said
"no, I just wanted to know something" Ash trailed off
"sure anything" Gary smiled typing away on his computer putting the phone on speaker
"would you like to join a secret Santa? It'll just be me, my mom you know just my family" Ash shrugged
"yeah sure, sounds fun" Gary smiled
"thank you!!" Ash said excitedly making Gary chuckle
"just come to my house on Saturday, that's when we'll distribute names, i hope one week will be okay with you" Ash said as Gary nodded
"it will be. and I'll be there for sure" Gary said with another smile
"okay deal, bring Ashley my mom and I are gonna be making gingerbread cookies and I think it'll be fun to have Ashley help us decorate them" the boy said with another smile

"yeah I will, thank you for the invitation" Gary smiled as Ash nodded
"no worries, thank you actually . . . I'll see you later, take care" Ash said
"back at you, I love you" Gary grinned
"I love you too bye" Ash blushed and turned to leave his room until bumping into Paul
"ah!" Ash screamed as he fell back
"well? Aren't you gonna help me up??" Ash scowled
"why don't you have your boyfriend do it for you" Paul said in jealousy
"what boyfriend are you even talking about??" Ash scowled again
"Gary who else??" Paul scowled
"oh shut up!" Ash said getting up on his own and went to his mom to tell her the news

The next day Ash smiled seeing all his students in cute outfits for their career day as Ash was dressed as a scientist
"hi Ashley" Ash smiled as he saw Ashley with her lab coat looking adorable as ever
"hi Mr. Ketchum" she smiled as Ash smiled back and watched her walk off to her desk as he then saw Gary
"hey" Gary smiled with a Poinsettia arrangement for the boy
"hi" Ash said with a light blush
"these are for you" Gary grinned as the boy took the arrangement for his hands
"thank you, it's beautiful" Ash smiled and looked back at his students to make sure none of them were looking and quickly pecked Gary's lips making the man smile
"I'll see you later" Gary said as Ash nodded
"mhm, bye" Ash said and set the arrangement on his desk and read the little note attached to it which read:

" these Poinsettias might be beautiful but you're even more beautiful to look at ♡ ~ G "

the note made the boy blush as he lightly touched the Poinsettias and got back to have his class settle down

As Gary got out of the school he bumped into someone
"sorry" the two said until he saw Paul
"oh it's you" Gary muttered
"what are you doing?" Paul scowled
"what else? I dropped my kid off, plus gave Ash a little something" Gary shrugged
"what little something??" Paul spat out
"not your business but he kissed me" Gary grinned as a scowl grew on the others face
"I gotta go, business is calling" Gary chuckled patting Paul's shoulder and walked off making Paul dust off his shoulder the other touched and left to the classroom
