Chapter 12 - Confessions

With a couple minutes passing, Delia had heard the commotion and went to see what was going on and things smoothed out a bit
"we should get going" Gary sighed as Ash nodded
"yeah we should, bye everyone" Ash smiled lightly with a wave as the rest nodded

"well that was awkward" Ash giggled lightly as he got in the car with Gary
"yeah very" he sighed
"I'm sorry about what Paul said to your sister" Ash frowned
"it's okay, I know how he is" Gary sighed again
"anyways, let's forget about it" Ash giggled to lightened the mood as Gary grinned
"yeah of course" he chuckled

"so are you excited to go to Sun Shores Beach?" Gary smiled after a small silence
"yeah, I am" Ash smiled sweetly
"I've never really been out of town or traveled, so I am very excited" Ash grinned as the man smiled
"I'm glad" he said grabbing the ravenette's hand and holding it as he drove making Ash smile with a small blush decorating his cheeks as he looked out the window
"so is Ashley coming?" Ash smiled
"no" Gary shook his head
"why not?" Ash frowned
"well Ashley, doesn't like collection releases plus there's only grown ups there will be plus alcohol, and I wouldn't like to bring her into an adult environment where she may think it's okay to start drinking at a young age or think that drinking alcohol should be seen as something normal which ain't like that considering it can bring problems you get me?" Gary smiled as Ash nodded
"yeah i get you, that's a good thing really, didn't really think of it that way" Ash giggled
"so I'm guessing you'll be seeing this trip as time off from her?" Ash added with another giggle
"yeah I mean it may sound rude but I do sometimes need a serious break from her, she's a handful" Gary sighed with a slight chuckle as Ash giggled
"I would say I agree but I don't have kids" Ash smiled

"trust me you don't want any" Gary chuckled jokingly making Ash giggle again
"would you like kids?" Gary grinned giving the boy a sideways glance
"of course, but it's not like I can have them" Ash said with a sigh
"I mean I can, but I'm referring to my sexual orientation!" Ash blurted out as Gary chuckled
"no worries, I understood" he grinned

"but in all seriousness, Ashley's very cute and bright, she looks a lot like you" Ash said with another sweet smile
"thank you" the man smiled
"also I got a question" Gary said
"yeah go ahead, ask away" Ash giggled as the man grinned again
"so it's about Ashley, there's been numerous days she's came home with boxes of chocolates or plain candy and she has told me about a supposed 'boyfriend' which i don't approve of she's too young, and I wanted to know if you know who this supposed boyfriend is" Gary said sternly as Ash couldn't help but giggle at Gary's overprotective side towards his daughter
"sorry, anyways yes it's Adrian" Ash giggled
"he's a sweet boy don't worry but still i do agree she is too young to think about such things" Ash said as Gary nodded

"I'll keep my eye out don't worry" Ash smiled and unconsciously cupped Gary's chin making the man grin as Ash blushed
"uh sorry" he said retrieving his hand away
"it's fine" Gary chuckled

When getting to their house they were greeted by Ashley
"daddy!" the girl squeaked running to Gary who chuckled lifting her up
"hi pumpkin, how are you?" Gary grinned
"good, I was just playing" she giggled and turned to see Ash who she extended her arms to as Ash giggled and lifted her up as well
"are you staying with us?!?" Ashley squeaked
"no sweetie I'm just going to do some work" Ash smiled as the girl pouted
"okay" she said as Ash smiled and hugged her tightly as she returned the gesture

"okay, the flight is booked and I do now have the rest of the documents here" Gary smiled as Ash nodded
"mhm, took a bit but i'm glad we worked it out" Ash smiled
"same here" Gary said as he wrapped his arms around the ravenette and put his chin on his shoulder making the boy blush
"so I was wondering, do you plan on modeling? You haven't gotten back to me about it" Gary murmured as he placed a kiss on the nape of the boy's neck
"oh yeah, yes I am willing to, I hope I won't make a fool out of myself" he giggled blushing
"nah you won't" Gary smiled resting his head against Ash's back
"I love you Angie" he murmured as Ash blinked
"Angie?" he blurted out as Gary snapped his head up
"uh, nothing sorry" Gary shook his head dismissively getting up
"I need a glass of water, you want any?" Gary said nervously as Ash shook his head
"oh uh okay, I'll be back" he said and left downstairs
