Here We Go Part 8

[Two Weeks Later, Project 863 HQ, 1:23 pm]

Matt placed his hands on Mega Table.

Matt: Okay, Nelson's first strike failed. My guess is they will try again.

Sam: I wish Wes or Deb were here to give us some answers.

Woods glanced across the table at Wes' seat. Wes and Deb had gone up to the old Syphus HQ, to try and find anything about what Strike One's backup plan could be. Along with other secrets that could be helpful. But they weren't going to be back for several more hours, so this was on the Subjects of Project: 863 of deciding what to do next till they got back. Whether it be getting another serum, going to try to find another Syntec location, or going after Phantom 591 and Nelson Syphus. Along with how to defend Spellbound Studios from the next possible phantom attack.

Woods: I think it would be best if we stuck to collecting the serum, at least till Deb and Wes get back.

Matt: But I don't want to leave the studio without someone here to protect it.

Sam: I think you both have great points, but can you two promise me something first?

Matt and Woods shared a confused look.

Woods & Matt: Sure.

Sam: Can you please promise to not get into an argument?

Everyone glanced at the floor. They all remembered what had come of their arguments, and it had nearly been the end of Project: 863. None of them were interested in going back down that road again.

Matt: We'll try.

Woods: Promise.

Sam smiled.

Sam: Thank you.

Woods: Matt, while I do agree that we shouldn't leave the studio undefended, there are people here. Like Kevin. They can protect it. But, (Woods held up his hands) if it'll make you feel better, I can stay.

Sam: No, you need to go with Matt. Phantom 591 knows that we go to get the serums, and won't be on high alert. Along with being in rather desolate places, you need someone who can actually handle a Phantom. No offense, Matt, but there is no way you can defend us from that guy.

Matt sighed.

Woods: She is right Matt. I mean, he slammed Wes to the ground, and you and Sam, he just set on the floor.

Matt: Alright, alright. I see your point. Woods come with me. Sam, do you mind staying here?

Sam: Not at all. I have Kevin lock all the Bases remotely, just for extra protection.

Matt: Alright, sounds like a plan. Let's go.

They headed down the stairs and went to their tasks.

[Tesla, 1:28pm]

Matt and Woods pulled out and headed on the road. Matt noticed Woods looked like he was thinking hard.

Matt: What you thinkin' 'bout?

Woods: That this might be a trap.

Matt glanced over at him in surprise.

Matt: I would never think to hear that out of you, man.

Woods: 591 is aware we're still collecting serum. He might know where one or two of the locations are. Take the serum and leave a trap. Or give us false info to another location, like a Syntec site.

Matt: Never thought of that. But I think we'll be okay.
