The Demon called History...

My student Imtiaz said,"Uncle,why are you so angry with History?"

I said to him,"My precious,try to understand it's the Demon History which is leading us into a world of violence,hatred and bloodshed and above all war that can wipe out humanity from the surface of the earth.Is it right to jail the son for the murder his father committed?Now we Indians call the British bad because their forefathers looted us and inflicted immense suffering on us.When India was partitioned,Hindus and Muslims killed each other in large numbers. Now the petty intellectuals of Islam and Hinduism recollect that and get ready to harm each other.Hindu sanyasis who are now vehemently denouncing Mohammad and his followers,I mean Muslims,are blind to the Reality. I am a Hindu but I feel the presence of every living and non-living thing in me. My friends and enemies as well are present inside me in the same measure. Most Hindus hate Prophet Muhammad. But I can't hate Muhammad because I feel he is an integral part of my soul.Nor can I hate Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Pakistanis. They are all within me. You people think of the wellbeing of your country but I think of the wellbeing of the entire world and the universe.This is in line with the nature of a person who lives in Truth or the Absolute.A true saint doesn't denounce anyone because he knows segregating himself from any single human being or bird or animal is suicidal. It would cripple him.If a part of your body is injured and gets septic what will you do?You will try to cure it. Or you will cut it off? Bad people were once good which means good too becomes evil. If good becomes evil,the vice versa is also equally possible. I am talking of the spirit or the Absolute..."

Pranay's eyes were gleaming with mischief. He said with a naughty smile,"Then you love the Talibans and Boko Haram..?"

"Does God love them or not?"

"God never loves them. They are His enemies. ...!" Imtiaz said angrily. "They are killing innocent people."

I said,"God is inside the butcher and the butchered animal...Can you deny that?"

The two boys always wanted me to denounce people who were bad.I drew their attention to what Jesus said:"Hate the sin but not the sinner.."

"But uncle it seems in reality people hate the sinner very very rigidly to the exclusion of his sin..." came Pranay's voice.

"You are so knowledgeable...!Then why do you keep contradicting me ?" As I said this,I saw Pranay smiling to himself.

Pranay's mother came to my house searching for her son. She said that Pranay was always fighting with her over very minor issues.

I said to her,"Madam he is also fond of fighting with me.."

She told me how she was struggling to get her husband's pending pension arrears..

After she had left I told Pranay to read once more the copy of Sai Satcharitra I had gifted him.He was looking at me with eyes full of surprise. "What has reading Sai Satcharitra got to do with my mother's problem? "

"It will solve your mother's problem.Just give a try on experimental basis.." I tried to convince him of the immense gains that accrue to whoever reads the book with love, and devotion to Baba.I told him about the benefits people had got after reading Sai Satcharitra. Even now I sometimes wonder and say,"Baba why do you love me? I am not a good man." Once I said to Baba before starting meditation:"Baba,am I under your protection? Do you know what I saw in my mind? I saw a kangaroo with her baby in her pouch whose tender head was sticking out...I was on the verge of tears..."

Pranay said,"Uncle,I will read it. Let me see how Baba is going to help me..."

Imtiaz said,"Tell me why you call History the number one villain..."

"If we want the human race to come together and forge an unbreakable unity amongst the nations of the world we have to abjure our pride that our history generates. Man's historical sense might destroy this beautiful planet once for ever. Even a family or an individual's life history is the only fountainhead of his bitterness and anger. Someone thinks about a harm done to them over and over again and contemplates revenge.If he had the capability to forget his own life history,he would not have wasted his time and mental energy in a ruinous way. And if he takes revenge on his enemy it's sure to bring him greater trouble and afflictions."

It is History which prevents people from developing an endearing relationship with God.The Hindus and Muslims in this country are much more attached to their religions and holy texts and than to the Absolute.
This is natural to human nature. Man always wants to divide;on the other hand God always wants to bring us together. A self-realised person also always thinks so.

"Imtiaz,what about your father?" He appeared slightly surprised because he knew I was lately keeping away from Mr.Sattar. Sattar now considered me to be his greatest enemy on earth. He thought I was trying to convert Imtiaz and his mother into Hinduism which was absolutely beyond my imagination. I had once said to Imtiaz:"Why must I try to convert anyone to my religion..?When I had had my psychic experiences in 1997,after that I wondered about people's strong attachment to their religions.I realised that religion had nothing to do with God. It's a detrimental artificial concept all set to drive people crazy and fill them with all the possible evil qualities..Nobody can reach God without renouncing the fixed notions that have been in existence for centuries.They are the greatest hurdles to man's spiritual development. Saints and yogis have written down all this. But people can't understand anything about that without the knowledge of God. Is it not ironic to find that people don't care more for God than for the things which have come into existence because of Him or from him...?
