Chapter 19- Death Proof Pt1

I wake up to the sun breaking through the thin curtains in Pea's room. I sit up and stretch then look at Sweet Pea who's already awake and watching me
"That's not creepy" I laugh
"How can someone be so beautiful when they have just woken up?" Sweet Pea pulls me back down and kisses me
"Eww no, morning breath" I try to cover my mouth with one hand and push Pea on his chest with the other
"Are you ok this morning?" Pea suddenly gets all serious
"I'm fine why?"
"Just wanted to make sure you..."
"What? regret last night?" I raise my eyebrows at him
"I mean, yeah, kinda and also are you feeling ok... physically?" wow nervous Sweet Pea, that's a rare sight
"I'm ok, I promise, but thank you for checking on me. Now it's my turn. How are you feeling this morning?" I smile as I rest my arms on Peas chest and rest my head on my arms
"Honestly? I've never felt more happy" I smile at Pea, thankful we're both on the same page
"You hungry?" I ask
"Of course, Pops for breakfast?"
"You read my mind. Let me take a shower and brush my teeth" I get up out of bed
"You need help?" Pea smirks at me as he leans on his elbow
"Easy there tiger, I think I can manage"
"Worth a try" Pea flops back down on the bed making me laugh.

We walk into Pop's together and see Toni and Jug sat at a booth
"Good morning you two" I say as we walk up to their table
"Morning Sweet Pea, morning Rory" Jug smiles "want to join?"
"Sure" I smile at Jug
"I'm just going to go to the toilet" Jughead says
"I'll go and order some food" Pea kisses my forehead and walks off. I sit down opposite Toni
"Ok spill, what's got you so happy this morning?" Toni says then takes a sip of her juice
"Oh, no reason" I smile and turn to look at Pea, wow what a way to be subtle Aurora
"Oh my god" I look back to Toni and see her eyes wide "you guys finally did it didn't you"
"Shhhh, Toni I don't want the whole world to know"
"Did you use protection?"
"Oh my... yes of course we did and anyway why are you and Jughead here together so early?" I ask
"Well..."
"Holy shit, you guys also had sex didn't you?"
"What? no no, but errrm"
"But?"
"We may have had a make out session, but he's not over Betty and anyway I prefer girls" Toni shrugs
"Fair enough"
"Hey what are you girls talking about?" Pea asks as he sits down next to Toni
"Oh nothing" I smile at him, but he quickly clocks on that Toni knows about what happened last night. My phone soon rings, I look at the caller ID and see dad across the screen. I answer it thinking it's because I stayed out last night and he's just worried
"Hey dad I'm fine, promise I just spent the night with Toni and we both fell asleep. Sorry I forgot to tell you" dad cuts me off telling me to go to Betty's house.

"Riverdale's best and brightest hug?" Alice says as she places down a tray of cups and tea. Everyone who was at Nicks party is here and so are all our parents
"Alice, thank you for hosting"
"Of course Mayor McCoy"
"When I heard what happened at Nick's party I decided we should come together to deal with this motley crew of liars, dope fiends and fornicators. Except for my Betty who was smart enough to leave the party before it was a bacchanalian free for all"
"Wait what? fornicators? but Pea and I didn't have sex that night we..." I quickly stop realising that that's not what we're on about
"Rory want to finish your sentence?"
"No thanks dad, sorry Alice continue" Alice shakes her head at me then carries on with what she was saying
"Just for clarity Alice your hosting this to gloat? because Rory didn't do any drugs either"
"No but she was drinking"
"Ok? and what? we've all had a drink once or twice" I cross my arms. I then notice Veronica and Archie talking amongst themselves then Kevin joins in. I can't hear what they are says as I'm sat to far away. Alice clears her throat to get their attention
"Carful throwing stones there acid Queen Alice. I'm not the only one that knows the story behind that mug shot that her daughter printed in her paper" Hiram says and Hermione sits there smiling
"Well I for one would like to know who brought the jingle jangle to the party" Hermione says. Everyone stays quiet
"Elizabeth? Aurora?" Alice looks at us both, do I say something? before I can make my decision Reggie puts his hand up
"Reginald not a single word out of your mouth until we get a lawyer. Anyway it was probably something to do with your ex and her new boyfriend, hasn't anyone found it odd that Aurora gets a new boyfriend just as this all happens?" Reggie's mom says making me roll my eyes
"Next thing your gonna say that my boyfriend is the Black Hood because we want vengeance because I was cheated on, get a grip"
"Aurora" dad says sternly
"All Reggie needs is to tell us is how he acquired it" Hiram says
"Why? fancy trying some?" I say, I'm so over this
"Aurora Rose Andrews that is enough" dad once again says to me
"Some gang member who deals on the Southside"
"Of course we're gonna go there" I huff
"Oh my god have a dealer?" he mom looks at him disgusted
"Once again Mayor the Southside is the source of all our problems"
"Is he a Serpent? does he go to Southside high?"
"Dad what the hell?" I yell standing up "you know what t he problems is? all of you, your so close minded. I swear to god Reggie if you say it's a Serpent I will castrate you right here right now. If it was someone on the Southside then it's obviously a Ghoulie"
"And how can you be so sure?" Alice crosses her arms
"Serpents don't deal with that type of shit"
"Language. Reggie?" once again dad asks
"I think so"
"Of course he will say that. Dad listen to me..."
"What does it matter? not all Serpents are drug dealers"
"Archie your not helping me here. No the Serpents are not the issue here"
"Ok look we shouldn't have taken the JJ, but Nick asked Reggie to get it then pushed it on us. He's the one who should be in the hot seat. He's the one who roofied Cheryl.."
"I'm sorry what?" I yell
"Prosecuting him would be difficult given all the witnesses were high" Sheriff Keller says
"I wasn't. That scumbag deserves everything he's got coming to him. I never liked him from the moment I met him"
"You were drunk"
"No I wasn't, yeah I had a bit to drink but I was still aware of my surroundings"
"I'm sorry Aurora that won't fly in court
"And anyway Josie and I saw Nick with Cheryl the night after the party and neither of us were on jingle jangle"
"The drug stays in your system for 3 days. If I drug tested you right now you'd have a credibility problem" Sheriff Keller continues
"Josie you took that drug?" I turn to look at Josie who looks nervous "you put that poison in your system knowing that your father struggled with addiction?" Josie then nods her head slightly with tears in her eyes "I see. From this moment on, brining the Southside under control is my number 1 priority as Mayor. If it means raising it to the ground"
"You can't do that" I yell
"Or arresting every single Serpent in sight" Mayor McCoy ignores me
"Well then Sheriff, Mayor, you best arrest me then" I put my arms out in front of me
"What?" Reggie yells while everyone else looks at me
"We shall start with that high school. Let's go Josephine"
"This is ridiculous" I sigh sitting down next to Archie
"I might have an idea to help" Archie whispers to me. Why is he all of a sudden on my side?
