Chapter 12 ~ The Morning After

 Hermione woke up the next morning and turned over to looks at Severus who was fast asleep, she played with his hair and smiled at him. He was so gentle with her last night, she had never felt so safe. She was happy to be with him, soon he wakes up and looks up at her and smiles, "Good morning."

"Good morning Severus, how did you sleep?"

"Slept like a rock."

She giggles, "You looked really peaceful..."

"How long have you been up?"

"Only a couple minuets."

Severus then jumps up causing Hermione to jumps up with him. He looks at the time, "Oh shit..."

"What's wrong?"

"Any chance they would have noticed you gone all night."

Hermione's eyes open wide, "Oh god, they definitely will."

Severus gets out of bed and puts on his black bathrobe, Hermione follows him putting her bathrobe on as well. Severus starts pacing, "Ok, we need a story."

"Ok, what do you propose?"

"No one goes in the library at this time, go there and maybe look like you feel asleep while reading?"

"That's actually happened before. Perfect. Then I'll get dressed."

They share a kiss before she changes and sneaks off to the library. Once there she goes to the very back of the library and makes a makeshift book nook in the window and curls up in the window, she looks out the window blushing remembering her night. Remembering how she was now married. She takes her ring off and puts it on her necklace before closing her eyes. Not too long after she hears hurried footsteps rush to the back of the library.

"There you are!", Ginny says dramatically, "You have GOT to stop falling asleep in here!"

Hermione looks over at Ginny and giggles, "But it's comfy."

"Weirdo, come on, let's go get some food." 

Hermione nods and walks with her friend to the great hall. Once there they sit with their normal group, Harry still looked upset about the night before. She reaches across the table and grabs his hand causing him to look up at her. She smiles to him, "Don't worry, he's going to be ok."

"How do you know?"

"They don't want the entire school knowing what happened, I helped Snape and Dumbledore take him to the hospital wing yesterday. Since I already knew what happened."

"So then you 100% know he is going to be ok?"

Hermione nods, "Yes, he just has to rest for a bit."

Harry smiles, "Good."

Harry then turns to Ginny, and they begin to talk, they were blushing up a storm. Hermione smiled; something was definitely going on between the two of them. Hermione giggled then looked over to Lavender and Ron who were talking with each other. As much crap as Hermione and Ginny gave Lavender, she was an alright girl, she treated Ron right. That everyone agreed on. Hermione turns to look at Severus who was sitting next to Dumbledore whispering to each other. She knew the moment Severus told Dumbledore they were married is when Dumbledore looked at her with a cheeky smile. She smiled back feeling only the slightest embarrassed.

All the sudden Astoria walks up and taps Hermione on the shoulder, "May I borrow you?"

Hermione smiles up at her, "Hey girl, sure thing." 

Ginny and Lavender smile at Astoria, girls at Hogwarts now and days were always friendly to each other. No matter their house or blood type. Hermione gets up and follows Astoria out to the courtyard and they sit under a tree away from everyone else. They start to eat some bagels they brought with them when Astoria waved her hands in the air, "Ok... spill."
