Chapter 29 ~ Coming up with a Plan

Severus and Hermione walk into the dining room, and everyone looks up at them. Voldemort smiled, "Ah, the Snapes. Was wondering when you two would join us."

Severus and Hermione sit next to Draco and Astoria. Everyone was watching them with concentration. Hermione cleared her throat and looked over at Narcissa, "Mrs. Malfoy, thank you for letting me borrow some of your clothes. They're beautiful."

"Oh, you're welcome, Hermione." Narcissa smiled slightly at Hermione politeness. Bellatrix makes a loud sigh causing everyone to look at her. She smirks at Hermione before turning to Voldemort, "If she is really one of us, is she going to help us lure the Potter boy into a trap?"

Voldemort smiles, "That is the plan my little minx. But when he arrives, you must all pretend Hermione is not one of us. The plan is simple. Once Potter arrives, we will throw him in the dungeon. Hermione will be down there with that weird girl, the wand maker, and the goblin. They also must not know who Hermione really is."

Lucius speaks up with a shaky voice, "And if Potter somehow gets the better of us and makes a run for it?"

"Then Hermione will revel who she truly is."

Everyone looks at Hermione who is holding back her tears at the news. Severus grabs her hand under the table and tightens his grip. Hermione nods and smiles, "Of course my lord. We can't allow him to escape."

Voldemort smiles at her words, but Bellatrix rolls her eyes. Lucius speaks up again, "What about Severus?"

"Right, Severus, you are no longer needed here. You can go back to Hogwarts this afternoon and continue working.

Severus looks at Hermione, and they both frown at each other. Bellatrix laughs, "It's just laughable. How an arranged marriage to a mudblood ended in love." Many others at the table laugh alongside her. Severus looks at Lucius and Narcissa who just stares at their food ashamed. Severus then looks at Bellatrix, "At least the one I love, loves me back. You wouldn't know much about that." Most of the deatheaters at the table burst out laughing. Bellatrix looks at Severus in disbelief.  Hermione giggles quietly, which pushes Bellatrix over the edge. Bellatrix slams her hands on the table and stands up, she draws her wand and points it at Hermione. She was so full of anger, she failed to notice Severus was already standing next to Hermione with his wand at the ready.

Voldemort claps and laughs, "My goodness, we're all feisty today!"

"My lord, let me kill this mudblood whore, we don't need her!"

Severus gives Bellatrix a warning look, "Watch who you're calling a whore."

"Tell me she isn't Severus! She has somehow seduced you, and you have a stone heart! She has tricked my lord into... liking her... and worse of all, she has seduced my nephew!"

Astoria and Hermione looked at each other confused before looking to Draco who was looking at his aunt even more confused, "Me? What do you mean?"

"You came running to her aid yesterday, like her own prince charming! What did she do, sleep with you? It's obvious she loves to sleep around... isn't that right mudblood? Tell me, is Potter good in bed?"

Everyone looked at Hermione except for Severus. He turned his attention towards Voldemort, hoping he'd say something. But of course. He didn't. The Dark Lord just sat there smiling and drinking his wine, enjoying the show. Hermione cleared her throat but before she could speak Draco spoke up, "Auntie, you know damn well she didn't sleep with me or Potter.  Hermione and I are just friends! If you knew she saved my life, you'd be feeling different towards her!" 

"She, what?" The room fell silent. Bellatrix looked towards Voldemort who slowly nods, "Draco is correct! Hermione saved his life. If it wasn't for her, he'd be dead." Everyone looked at Hermione in amazement. Narcissa tried to hide her tears, "Then we are forever in your debt."

Hermione smiles at Narcissa, "No please. Draco is one of my Best Friends."

Severus smiles and then looks coldly at Bellatrix, "Anything else you'd like to say?"

Bellatrix keeps her head low and doesn't respond. With that Severus sat back down next to Hermione and grabs her hand. Hermione smiles at him and squeezes his hands letting him know, everything would work out. 

After breakfast Hermione, Draco, Astoria, and Severus meet up outside in the garden. Draco shakes his head, "Potter id gonna try and run, we already know this. It's way too early for Hermione to reveal her secret."

Severus nods, "I agree, if she can stay with him, just a little longer..."

Astoria walks up to Hermione, "Severus told me to get these for you." She hands Hermione a test tube labeled Bellatrix, "I wasn't able to find a hair strand for Harry, I'm sorry."

Hermione smiles, "It's ok, he still has his invisibility cloak. So, who exactly is all in the dungeon? I know about Luna."

Draco looks at Hermione, "Well, we have Griphook, he works at Gringotts, and Garrick Ollivander."

"Ollivander is alive? Oh, thank goodness, I was worried when I heard his wand shop was hit."

Severus then cleared his throat, "Listen, when the time comes, and Potter makes a run for it. Run with him."

"But-"

"He has your wand Hermione; you can't fight back."

Hermione nods, "Ok."

Severus nods then looks out the garden's gate, "I must leave now."

Draco and Astoria look at each other concerned before looking at Hermione, who was just looking at Severus tears silently poured down her face. Severus turned around and looked at his wife and frowned, "Hermione-"

"I know this is what we have to do, but that doesn't mean I want to..."

Severus walks up to Hermione and pulls her into a hug, "Same with me Hermione. I don't want to lose you."

"I love you so much Severus."

"I love you to Hermione."

They share a loving kiss, once they pull away, they stand there holding each other for a while. Not wanting to let go. Draco clears his throat, "I'm sorry, but Severus. You have to head back to Hogwarts now."

Severus nods, "Right." The couple looks into each other's eyes, Severus grabs her cheeks, and they lean into each other with their eyes closed for a second longer. "I love you."

Hermione smiled through her tears, "I love you, always."

Severus looked at her at her word. 'Always' he thought in his head, he smiles slightly and kissed her, "Write to me when you can." Hermione nodded at him, and then Severus apparated away. Hermione looked over to Draco and Astoria still crying. Draco frowned and Astoria ran up to her and hugged her. Draco looked up to the sky thinking to himself, 'Where are you at Potter? Hurry up!'
