Chapter 37 - Two Down Two To Go

Severus and Hermione look at Ron Weasley. Hermione cleared her throat, "Ron-"

"Hermione, you could have told me."

"What?"

Before another word was spoken Ron walked up to her and hugged her. Hermione starts crying as she hugged him back. Severus couldn't help but smile. Ron pulled away and walked up to Severus, "You were never bad, were you?"

"How did you figure it out?", Severus asked while Hermione stood next to him again.

"Hermione always stuck up for you, even before Dumbledore's death. If you wanted Harry dead, you could have done it a long time ago. And I suspected, you would come down here to kill the Horcrux you had in your purse. So I came down here to make sure I was right about you."

"And Harry?"

"He think's I'm wasting my time. He went to go talk to the ghost in Ravenclaw to find the tiara."

Hermione frowned, Harry really did hate her now. Ron put his hand on her shoulder, "Don't be upset, once Harry realizes you were on his side the whole time, you'll be friends again."

Hermione smiles for a moment, if only she could tell Ron that Harry was destined to die... She held onto Severus's hand tighter. Ron looked to the entrance and spoke some parseltongue, making the door begin to open. He smiled at Hermione, "Harry talks in his sleep, did you notice?"

Hermione giggles and the three of them walk in together. Ron walks all the way back to the bones of the Basilisk and pulls out one of it's fangs. He then turned around and held it out to Severus. Severus looked at him shocked, "Me?"

"You can do it, it wont be easy. You will see things you don't want to see. I will warn you."

Severus nods as he took the fang from Ron. He looks down at Hermione who set the cup on the floor. The three kneel next to the cup when Severus all the sudden hears what sounds like Hermione laughing. He looks up at her confused, "Why are you laughing?"

Hermione looks at him, "I'm not."

The water behind him began to move on its own. Severus turned around and looked at the wave that flowed in front of him, pushing Hermione and Ron back without  him knowing.  The water started to show Severus Hermione and Draco in the library, her back pinned against a bookshelf as Draco spoke sweet nothings into her ear.

Ron helped Hermione stand, "He's seeing visuals of you, his worst nightmares. You need to get his attention!"

She tried to get past the water but she couldn't, "Severus!"

Severus couldn't hear as he watched Draco and Hermione kiss, "No! That isn't true!"

The Hermione in the water looked at him as Draco continued to kiss her neck, "You honestly believe I love you? When I could have Draco or the Chosen one?" The water dissolved Draco and Harry walked up and grabbed Hermione embracing her. Severus started to cry, "Stop!" The Hermione in the water laughed, "You are nothing compared to him, thanksgiving night was the best night of my life." Severus screamed as Hermione's laugh echoed through his head. He fell to the ground and stabbed the cup, "SHUT UP!" 

The water produced a scream like Hermione's and lifted into the air. The real Hermione runs up to him, "Severus!" Severus looks up to her as the water crashed down onto them and washed away leaving the couple soaked. He leaned his head down into her breasts and cried, "Please. tell me you love me."

"Severus, I love you with all my heart. Always."

Severus looks up at her now crying of joy, "Always."

They kiss for a few moments before pulling away and hugging each other. Ron clears his throat, causing them to pull away and laugh. Soon Severus's arm begins to sting, "Ah... shit."

"Are you ok?", Hermione looked at him worriedly.

"It's Voldemort... he wants to speak to me."

"No.. don't go."

"If I don't go, he'll know we've all been lying and you, Draco, and Astoria are all in danger."

Severus puts his hand on Hermione's cheek and kisses her forehead. He looks to Ron, "Take her to the Room of Requirements, you will find Draco and Astoria there, they are looking for the tiara as well, with luck you'll run into Potter. Maybe explain everything to him."

Ron nods, "Ok. I'll keep her safe for you."

"Thank you." He looks at Hermione, "I'll find you after I talk with Voldemort ok? Don't worry, we both know he trusts me, nothing will happen."

Hermione nods and kisses him, "I love you."

"I love you." He then let's her hand go as Ron walks up to her. Severus turns around and aparates away.

Hermione frowns as she watches him leave and turns to Ron, "Let's go."

Ron nods and grabs her hand and lead's her out of the chamber. About 10 minuets later they find themselves in the Room of Requirements and see Harry, "Harry!" Ron called out, he runs over with Hermione and Harry turns around and looks at Hermione disappointed, "What is she doing here?"

"Harry, she's on your side."

"No she isn't."

"They all are mate! Hermione, Snape, Malfoy, and Astoria!"

As if on cue Draco and Astoria show up in hand and sees everyone. Harry looks at them, "Prove it."

"Severus just killed a horcrux.", Hermione answered.

Harry looked at her shocked, "What?"

Ron nodded, "It's true. They've been double crossing Voldemort the entire time."

Harry looked at Draco and Astoria and nodded in appreciation. Then he looks at Hermione and frowns, "I... I'm sorry. I should've known you wouldn't have betrayed me..."

Hermione didn't care she hugged Harry happily and cried. Harry smiled, "I'm so sorry..."

"It's ok.", Hermione pulled away and smiled at him. Draco soon interrupts, "That's nice but we have a problem."

Harry and Hermione look at him confused. Draco sighed, "We can't find the stupid tiara."

Harry smiles, "I can hear it. I know where it is, follow me."

Soon Harry walks up to a box and opens it to reveal the tiara sitting inside. Everyone smiles Draco then speaks up, "Lets kill it and get out of here."

Out of nowhere, a great fire erupts nearby, along with sound of cackling. "Shit! Some one the deatheaters must have seen us come in! We need to get out of here!", yells Draco.

Ron points to a pile of brooms, "Let's go!"

They each grab a broom and starts to fly their way out. The fire was spreading very quickly, a pile of furniture fell and knocked Draco and Astoria off their brooms. Hermione screamed, "No! We have to go back for them!!" Harry nods and turns around with her, they fly over to the couple. Draco climbs on the back of Harry's broom while Hermione got Astoria. They flew to the exit quickly and fall of their brooms as they escaped. 

"Draco!" Ron screamed as he tossed him the fang, and Draco stabbed the tiara quickly. Black smoke erupted from the tiara and Astoria kicked it into the fire, right before the doors closed a great explosion happened, knocking everyone back against the walls. As Harry hit is head, he saw visuals of the boat house, Voldemort, and Severus. He looked up at Hermione, "We need to get to he Boat House now! It's your husband!"
